K-pop sensation Blackpink is in the final stages of completing their highly anticipated new album, with music video filming scheduled to take place this week, South Korean media reported Monday.
Citing a statement from label YG Entertainment, outlets including Yonhap News Agency, The Korea Herald, and Korea JoongAng Daily reported that the four-member act will begin filming a new music video this week as part of their comeback preparations.
"We are in the last stages of making the quality of the album better," YG Entertainment was quoted as saying in the JoongAng Daily article.
"The members of Blackpink and the staff are going to make our best efforts to show you the highest quality results," the agency added.
This comes after recent reports that Blackpink is eyeing a December comeback, a delay from the group's originally planned return in October or November.
In July, the quartet released the single "Jump," but their most recent album remains "Born Pink," their second full-length release from 2022.
While preparing for their comeback, Blackpink is continuing its "Deadline" world tour, with a two-day stop at the Philippine Arena on November 22 and 23.
