Blackpink’s Rosé and Bruno Mars in a promotional photo for ‘APT.’ Handout photo"APT.," the collaborative single by Rosé and Bruno Mars, has climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the Blackpink star the highest-ranking entry on the chart by a female K-pop artist.
The viral song rose by two spots from its previous ranking on the Hot 100, which ranks the most popular songs across all genres in the United States, Billboard reported early Tuesday.

The track, unveiled in October as a pre-release single from Rosé's album "rosie," debuted at No. 8 on the Hot 100 and eventually rose to No. 5.
The song draws inspiration from a popular Korean drinking game, with its title and catchy chorus derived from the shortened Korean pronunciation of the word "apartment."

Mars also topped the Hot 100 with "Die With A Smile," his duet with Lady Gaga, followed by "DtMF" by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny.
Rounding out the Top 5 are "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by American country artist Shaboozey at No. 4, and "Luther" by Kendrick Lamar and SZA at No. 5.
The Hot 100 ranks songs based on a combination of streaming activity, radio airplay and sales data, according to Billboard.
Meanwhile, following Rosé, the other Blackpink members are gearing up for their respective solo releases.
Jisoo is set to release her extended play "Amortage" on February 14, followed by Lisa's album "Alter Ego" on February 28. Meanwhile, Jennie is scheduled to drop her album "Ruby" on March 7.
The quartet is also expected to make a comeback and go on a world tour this year.
