Viu Philippines unveiled the first look at the upcoming international series kiDnap GAME, which features veteran Filipino actor Joel Torre.
The streaming platform released a teaser video on Friday, July 31, introducing the series' central premise.
"Simultaneous kidnappings in seven cities across Asia," the teaser's voice-over says. "The ultimate survival game begins now."
The video then introduces the show's pan-Asian cast, led by Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi and Korean star Lee Joon-gi. Also appearing are Alice Ko from Taipei, Stanley Yau from Hong Kong, Carrie Wong from Singapore, Joel from Manila, and Praewa Narupornkamol Chaisang from Bangkok.
The Japanese cast also includes Yuki Sakurai, Sae Okazaki, Show Kasamatsu, Ryutaro Yamazaki, and Machiko Ono.
According to a press release on Fuji TV's official website, kiDnap GAME centers on a deadly survival challenge set in motion by a series of coordinated kidnappings across seven Asian cities.
"The story begins with a series of simultaneous kidnappings in seven Asian cities. As the incidents are sensationally reported around the world—in Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Bangkok, Taipei, Singapore, and Naha—a family of one of the victims receives an email: 'You have been entered into the kidnap game. How far will you go to save your loved one? Only one person can be saved,'" the synopsis read.
Each participant is given a different mission, which they must complete ahead of the others to save their loved one.

Joel plays Miguel, a friendly taxi driver who has endured poverty since childhood. Determined to spare his children and grandchildren from experiencing the same hardships, he works tirelessly to provide for his family. His life is turned upside down when his beloved grandchild is kidnapped.
Meanwhile, Kentaro stars as Toshiro Niide, an elite investigator known for his unwavering sense of justice. When his wife becomes one of the kidnapping victims, he sets out to uncover the mastermind behind the terrifying operation.
Lee portrays Joon-gi, a surgeon whose life takes a devastating turn when his visually impaired daughter is abducted. Having stepped away from medicine in pursuit of a quieter life, he is forced to enter the dangerous game to save her.
