MANILA -- Emotions ran high on Tuesday night as fans, friends, and families of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano watched "Tayo Sa Wakas" -- the Kapamilya on-screen couple's last movie, for now.
It was a bittersweet experience for those who watched the film during its premiere, with their fanbase holding on to hope that the pair will reunite somewhere down the line.
Pangilinan and Mariano had announced earlier this year that they will pause their journey as a love team, with "Tayo Sa Wakas" serving as their last project together, at least for a while.
"Hindi ako naniniwala, infinity sila," one fan said during the premiere night at SM Megamall.

Even celebrities were saddened to learn that this would be the final movie of "DonBelle."
"Nakakalungkot dahil, simula't sapul, nasaksihan ko rin... ilang beses ko na silang nakatrabaho. Pero masaya dahil makikita naman natin sa mukha nila na hindi naman siya sad ending, happy ending ito," said Jeremiah Lisbo, who worked with the pair in "He's Into Her."
BINI's Mikha Lim, who also appeared on "He's Into Her," said she is proud to have been a part of the duo's journey.
"I'm so proud and feeling ko grabe yung iiiyak ko rito. Siyempre nakita ko rin sila off-screen and on-screen," she said.
"Sanay ako na nakikita sila magkasama palagi dalawa eh," said Anthony Jennings, who was also saddened after hearing the decision of his friends to go their separate ways in their careers. "Bago sa akin 'to, alam mo yung feeling na parang ayaw mong matapos."

After the screening, Mariano and Pangilinan gave each other a tight hug. Pangilinan's parents, Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan, also shared an emotional moment with Mariano as the credits rolled.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, "Tayo Sa Wakas" opens on Wednesday, May 27, in more than 200 cinemas nationwide.
