Disney+ has released the first teaser for the upcoming series Perfect Crown, starring IU and Byeon Woo-seok.
In the K-Drama, Woo-seok plays Grand Prince I-an, while IU portrays Hui-ju, a wealthy heiress.
The teaser offers a glimpse of Grand Prince I-an falling in love with Hui-ju. “Prepare yourself to become the Grand Prince’s wife,” the prince tells her.
The clip also hints at the power dynamics within the palace.
“Are you scared that I might become king?” I-an asks a man in one scene.
Fans online were quick to react to the teaser,

"I can't wait for their joint slay. IU my Queen!" another fan wrote.
Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is governed by a monarchy, Perfect Crown follows Grand Prince I-an as he becomes entangled in a power struggle within the royal family. Under pressure to marry, he enters into a marriage of convenience with conglomerate heiress Hui-ju. As they join forces to pursue their ambitions, unexpected feelings begin to develop between them.
In a 2025 interview with GQ Korea, Byeon shared what convinced him to take on the role, revealing that the script resonated with him immediately.

"When I read the script, there was this one impactful moment that really hit me. I can't share exactly what it is yet, but yes, I think that part was the biggest factor in choosing the project. And even just looking at the character, there were so many emotions I could relate to. Rather than thinking, 'Can I pull this off?' the thought that stood out more was, 'I want to try this,'" he relayed.
The actor also spoke about his approach to portraying the character. "In some scenes, I even suddenly found myself thinking, 'Ah, it might be good to try it this way,' and feeling more proactive. Everything's been great. These days, I start and end my day entirely with this project, and I’ve been gaining so much positive energy from it," he remarked.
Perfect Crown will be released on April 10 on Disney+.
