MANILA -- In celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day,  the historical biopics “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” are set to return to cinemas this June 12.

Produced by TBA Studios and directed by Jerrold Tarog, the two award-winning films, which chronicle the heroic lives of Filipino generals Antonio Luna and Gregorio del Pilar, captivated audiences with their gripping storytelling, powerful performances, and patriotic spirit.

"Heneral Luna" starring John Arcilla as General Antonio Luna hit Philippine cinemas in 2015, while “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” starring actor Paulo Avelino as Gregorio del Pilar, was released in theaters in 2018.

The two epics are the first two installments of TBA Studios' cinematic “Bayaniverse,” a series of films based on Philippine history.

Filipinos now have the chance to revisit the two films before the much-anticipated final chapter, “Quezon,” arrives in theaters later this year.
