Jameson Blake has proven his versatility as one of the Kapamilya network’s most dynamic leading men, taking on roles that range from the hero to the villain, and even more daring characters through the years.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Jameson shared that he is set to take on yet another sexy role in his latest film, Isla Babuyan.
“The story is about a woman na galing sa abroad tapos nakipag-reconnect with her family and her mom dito sa Pilipinas. And she goes through a journey, meeting different people sa island. Ganun, tapos she meets me. I play Jordan, isang rich beach boy na nasa town lang. I play the son of James Blanco. That's pretty much the story,” he shared.
He also teased that the film gets quite intense and daring in certain parts.
“Medyo spicy din siya. Medyo daring din. But it was fun. It was a fun watch. We just watched it recently. We had our premiere night recently tapos napanood namin. And so far it was good naman,” he said.
Jameson, who’s no stranger to taking on bold roles, shared that this film goes beyond just being sexy.
“This time, actually, kasi ‘yung dati kong films, yes, you know, may butt exposure, may kissing scenes. But this time, mas revealing lang ‘yung skin ko dito. Parang, there are scenes na I'm just wearing underwear, basically. So parang hindi naman ako comfortable doing scenes like that before. Pero I eventually did it. Hindi naman lang dahil sa scenes ko. Pero pati sa ibang cast, it made it even more spicy ‘yung film talaga,” Jameson teased.
Meanwhile, the leading man also got real about showing some skin on the runway, especially during his past walk for a clothing brand’s fashion show.
“Madali pa rin naman ‘yung walking siguro. ‘Yung first part talaga ‘yung talaga ‘yung mahirap ‘yung breaking the ice nung first time din talaga ako nag-underwear, kinabahan din talaga ako because I wasn't used to it. It's something new to me. Pero now it's something I feel comfortable na ako to do. So okay lang. I mean I'm just more comfortable in my own skin right now,” he revealed.
Jameson once again graced the Bench Fashion Week runway recently —this time fully clothed—but he maintained that it still took preparation and confidence to pull it off.
“This time may damit muna ako ngayon. So nakabalot muna ako for today. Medyo hindi tayo magpapakita ng skin masyado. I also had to backtrack kung ano yung mga natutunan ko sa runway training ko nung Body of Work (fashion show). And then, I just had to remember how to walk on stage and how to show an aura you know while walking on stage and small preparations lang naman,” Jameson shared.
