MANILA -- Sue Ramirez had to beat the traffic to make it in time for the premiere of her new television series, "What Lies Beneath," on Wednesday night.
The actress shared that she took a motorcycle taxi to the premiere, where she and her co-stars got to watch the first three episodes of the series for the first time.
Several lucky fans were able to watch the episodes with the cast.
"Para umabot lang. Umabot ako dahil kay Kuya. Sobrang excited ko. Gusto ko talaga kasi maabutan unang episode, pangalawang episode. Talagang umarangkada na ako," said Ramirez before the screening at a mall in Quezon City.
Aside from Ramirez, the series also stars Janella Salvador, Kaila Estrada, and Charlie Dizon.
Its first episode will drop on Netflix on October 17. It will stream on iWant on October 18, and on Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5 October 20.
"We really, really worked hard for this show," said Salvador.
"We are so excited, so sana ma-enjoy niyo," Dizon said, for her part.
The series brings viewers into a world of friendship, hidden truths, and dark secrets that threaten to test the bond of the four women.
Other lead stars, including Jameson Blake, Jake Cuenca, JM de Guzman, were also present at the premiere.
