MANILA -- Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Uninvited” teases a gripping and thrilling tale that will have moviegoers at the edge of their seat with the drop of its official trailer.
The trailer sees Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos back with another chilling performance as Eva Canderia, a grieving mother seeking to avenge her daughter’s tragic fate.
“Tandaan mong mabuti ang pangalan ng taong papatay sa ’yo,” Santos’ character Eva said in the trailer.
Aside from Santos, “Uninvited” is top-billed by Nadine Lustre and Aga Muhlach.
Also part of the star-studded roster are Tirso Cruz III, Mylene Dizon, Gabby Padilla, Elijah Canlas, RK Bagatsing, Lotlot de Leon, Ketchup Eusebio, Cholo Barretto, Gio Alvarez and Ron Angeles.
Mentorque CEO John Bryan Diamante described the film “Uninvited” as more than just a thriller as it aims to redefine cinematic storytelling in the horror genre by introducing a fresh narrative approach.
“Ito 'yung mga siguro sa akin we have to create our own market niche. 'Di namin kaya pasukin saan magaling na ang ibang prod. We wanted to show we can do these kind of stories also. We have been secluded for a time,” he said.
“Akala niyo it's just a thriller pero ang dami gusto sabihin these are things we wanted to take on. Kakaiba, provoking, and will spark conversation,” he added.
