The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCIl) celebrated Philippine-Chinese ties and honored outstanding Filipinos for their exceptional contribution to nation building at the annual Chinese New Year Dinner Reception and Special Awards Ceremony held in Pasay City, Wednesday.
Among the luminaries honored for their mark on Philippine culture, diplomacy, and civic engagement were former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, National Artist Ricky Lee, broadcast journalist Jessica Soho, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan, and designer Kenneth Cobonpue.
“They inspire us to treasure our deep bonds and work together for a brighter and better future for our two peoples,” FFCCCII president Dr. Cecilio Pedro said.
The event also kicked off celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Philippines-China diplomatic relations.
