Kapamilya actress Lou Yanong shared how difficult it is to play an antagonist. Speaking with PUSH ABS-CBN during the mediacon for the finale of Blood vs Duty, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate added some lessons she learned and how it was working with Gerald Anderson and Richard Gutierrez as well.
Lou plays Agent Eve Castillo, a member of Task Force Alpha led by Agent Marcus Reyes (portrayed by Richard). In her previous works in Incognito and Roja, she was part of the antagonist group–– something she expressed that she enjoyed doing.
Portraying a role in Blood vs Duty, Lou admitted how difficult it was and she even had to find her footing while taping the show.
“It’s definitely difficult. I would say I was more comfortable na mag-play ng antagonist for some weird reason. I had a hard time–– I mentioned it kanina–– finding my footing with that because it’s easier, I feel like, to get mad and it’s difficult to be yourself in front of the camera sometimes,” she expressed.
“It’s definitely a challenge because I think you feel more vulnerable, I guess, as compared to iba yung character na you know it’s really not you. A killer? I can’t be a killer,” she added.
Lou then revealed that while she is enjoying being a kontrabida in the series, she’s already preparing for something that her fans should definitely watch out for.
“I think I really enjoy kotrabida roles. For now, for the next two months, I’ll be doing something else, but I guess to prepare also for that role,” she hinted.

In the same interview, the Kapamilya actress shared what it was like working with Gerald and Richard.
“Nakasama ko na rin kasi si kuya Richard sa Incognito and The Iron Heart, so I’m really just blessed to work with him again. With Kuya Gerald, that’s also crazy. Yun nga sinabi ko kanina, Captain Barbell and Budoy in one scene, that’s kind of crazy,” she stated.
Lou added that she’s learned a lot from the actors, even just by watching them, as she feels their sincerity each time they do a scene together.
“Iba din yung tensyon always dito sa Blood vs Duty. Kung nakikita niyo yung tinginan lang–– it’s just the eyes that one parang you can cut really through the tension of both of them during those scenes,” she said.
“Just being around that area–– that space–– is already a blessing because just watching them, I already learned so much,” she ended.
