Melai Cantiveros couldn't hide her excitement after finally seeing Jerry Yan in person during the F Forever 1st World Tour concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on June 27.
The television host admitted that Jerry's iconic character, Dao Ming Si, from the hit Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, who became her standard for the qualities she looked for in a man.
"Yes ikaw ang Dahilan, DaoMingSee @jerry_yan_official..... Ikaw ang tanging dahilan kung bakit nakapag asawa ako ng Maginoo pero medyu Bastos na very strict na masungit pero nakakakiliiiiiiiiiggggggggg kasi sweet💋🥰 and ikaw Yun ikaw ang Standard nun DaoMengSee 😍😁 char char char (sic)," she posted on her Instagram page.
Melai also shared that watching the concert brought back memories of her youthful admiration for the F4 heartthrob.
"What is this feeling I just can't explain, bumalik ang kilig ko Dao MengSeeee paanu na tung feelings natu🥰🤪 Thank you @achiektc and @kateanjela for the experience Haaaayyyyy super sarap sa feeling balikan ang kilig nang unang Pag-ibig sayu Dao MengSee ❤️," she stated.
"Latepost man itu at least hindi advance post🤫😳😅 Dba naguluhan ka? Yun ang goal🤪🥰👍," she added.
In her post, Melai also shared clips of herself singing along to songs from Meteor Garden and cheering for Jerry and the rest of the "F Forever" performers including Van Ness Wu, Vic Chou, and Ashin.
Fans online were quick to react to Melai's post.

F Forever 1st World Tour marked the F4 members' much-anticipated return to the Philippines.

The concert featured some of F4's most iconic songs, including "Jue Bu Neng Shi Qu Ni," "Yan Huo De Ji Jie," "Di Yi Shi Jian," and "Meteor Rain." Each member also took the stage for individual solo performances.
Fans were also treated to new songs such as "Forever Forever," co-created by Ashin and Mandopop superstar Jay Chou, as well as "Always Be My Bro," which was performed by all four artists.
F4 rose to immense fame through Meteor Garden, which became a cultural phenomenon across Asia in the early 2000s. The series premiered in the Philippines on ABS-CBN in May 2003.
