MANILA — Several celebrities attended late Saturday the concert featuring three of the four members of the iconic Taiwanese boy group F4, proudly embracing their inner fangirls.
F4 members Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, and Vic Chou, together with Mayday frontman Ashin, took the stage at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan as part of the group's "F Forever" tour.
Actress Ellen Adarna was among the notable personalities in attendance, sharing on Instagram a video of Yan interacting with fans in her section before approaching her, making eye contact with her for 10 seconds, and holding her hand.
On her Instagram Stories, Melai Cantiveros also posted a series of videos of herself during the concert, including her singing along to the group's signature hit "Can't Lose You."
Cantiveros could also be heard screaming "Dao Ming Si," a reference to Yan's iconic character in the hit 2000s drama "Meteor Garden," which propelled F4 to widespread popularity across Asia.
Volleyball star and beauty queen Michele Gumabao also shared videos of her concert experience, including moments when the F4 members stepped off the stage to interact more closely with fans.
F4 is a boy group composed of the actors who portrayed the fictional group of the same name in "Meteor Garden," a hugely popular series in the Philippines that gained a massive following through its broadcast on ABS-CBN.
Adapted from the Japanese manga "Boys Over Flowers," the Taiwanese series follows a young woman from a modest background portrayed by the late Barbie Hsu, who becomes entangled in a conflict with F4—the four wealthiest and most popular boys at her school—before eventually falling in love with their leader. — Report from Anna Cerezo, ABS-CBN News
