MrBeast has made history as the first content creator on YouTube to reach 500 million subscribers.
Following the said feat, MrBeast took to social media to share the screenshot of his channel reaching half a billion subscribers on YouTube.
Expressing his gratitude, he wrote: "WE HIT HALF A BILLION SUBSCRIBERS! THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
YouTube CEO Neal Mohan presented MrBeast with a new Play Button award for the milestone.
"Congratulations @mrbeast on making history as the first creator to reach 500 million subscribers on @youtube! 🎉This achievement is a testament to what’s possible when a creator has the freedom to follow their creativity and be their authentic selves," Neal posted on his Instagram page.
He added: "Jimmy, you are an incredible innovator and we're so proud to be part of your journey."
Fans online were quick to congratulate MrBeast on this massive feat.
"Congrats been here since 50,000 in 2016 ❤️🙌🔥," one fan commented.
"Huge congratulations!!" another fan said.
MrBeast uploaded his fist video on YouTube in February 2012.
Speaking on a past episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett, the YouTube star reflected on the mindset that helped him build his massive online presence, pointing to his intense level of focus.
"It's very weird how I have extreme obsession to the point where I just think about the same [thing]. For me, it's much easier to think about something 16 hours a day for seven days straight than it is like to shift gear constantly," he shared.
According to MrBeast, his tendency to become completely immersed in a single pursuit is what sets him apart.
"I'm really good at just obsessing over one thing more than anyone else on the planet. If I were to say, what's my superpower? It's that. I can just obsess endlessly about something, and I can just have the same thoughts over and over and over and over again. It's very weird. It wasn't like it was work for me grinding YouTube for those 10 years or whatever where no one was really watching it. It's just who I am," he highlighted.

He also revealed that tackling difficult challenges also motivates him.
"I think just, in general, I just really love solving consistent, complex, hard problems. I think that's what gets me out of bed. The harder the problems, the more exciting it is," he stated.
