Celebrity couple Awie and Prince De Guzman shared the passion they both have when it comes to cosplaying. In the May 29 PUSH It episode, the cosplay couple expressed how makeup has bonded them–– making their relationship stronger than ever.

Awie and Prince rose to popularity in the cosplaying scene through the various characters they portray. Awie recalled how they were sent to Japan to cover the live-action adaptation of One Piece and the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and it’s one for the books,” she shared.

The couple showed their own keepsakes and the stories behind why they give them so much importance. When it comes to their shared keepsake, Awie and Prince revealed that it is their makeup collection–– something they always need in the cosplaying world.

“Siguro makakalimutan na natin yung ibang keepsake natin except for this,” Prince said.

Awie revealed that it was Prince who first had the makeup collection, as she was into the cosplay scene first, having had a desk job prior to becoming a content creator.

“Nag-start akong mag-cosplay wala akong makeup. So lahat ng ginamit kong makeup galing kay Prince–– nanghihiram lang ako sa kanya. Siya yung kumpleto ng makeup,” she expressed.

“Meron din kasi akong desk job before ako nag cosplay. Nag decide na lang ako mag-cosplay kasi nga na-e-enjoy ko na yung cosplaying. Although nauna ka mag start… Kaya wala akong ganitong makeup, siya meron,” she added.

The couple showed off their makeup collection, which included all the things they needed for their cosplay. Prince maintained that it’s not regular makeup, but more for special effects for the character that they’ll be cosplaying.

“Ito talaga yung common denominator sa ginagawa namin, the memories and all... Until now naghihiraman kami so yan ang bonding namin. Ako nagdadamit babae siya nag dadamit lalaki minsan,” he explained.

Prince then admitted how surprised he was to see his real-life partner enjoy cosplaying and being a content creator as much as he does. The two have individual accounts on social media, which have hundreds of thousands of followers.

“Amazing lang din kasi hindi ko talaga akalain na si Awie magiging content creator kasi napaka-introvert niya nung nagkakilala kami,” he maintained.

Despite their similarities when it comes to their passion for cosplaying, Awie and Prince have something that they can’t seem to agree on: spiders. They revealed that he has a collection of over 80 species of spiders, which she isn’t really a big fan of.

“Siguro kung may magse-separate, yun yung isang linya sa mundo natin dalawa,” he ended.

They recently portrayed Nami and Roronoa Zoro, characters of One Piece, in a PLDT Home Fiber Netflix campaign.
