Dingdong Dantes and Charo Santos welcomed Coco Martin as one of the newest members of AKTOR PH, the League of Filipino Actors.
On his social media page, Dingdong shared how a conversation with Charo and Coco last year led to the actor’s decision to join the organization.
“Last year, nagkaroon kami ng isang importanteng usapan sa bahay ni Ma’am Charo, kaming tatlo ni Coco,” the Kapuso actor recalled.
He added, “Nauwi ang kwentuhan sa mga hangarin namin para sa industriya, para sa sektor ng mga artista, at para sa komunidad na patuloy naming sinusubukang palakasin.”
Dingdong expressed how he is grateful to share the same vision with fellow artists like Coco, especially in promoting, protecting, and strengthening the local entertainment industry and the welfare of actors.
“At siguro kapag may mga taong kasama kang may parehong malasakit para sa kapwa aktor, mas lalo mong naiintindihan kung bakit mo ginagawa ang lahat ng ito. Mas nararamdaman mong posible pala ang mga bagay na dati’y parang ang hirap abutin, basta may mga taong handang makiisa at tumulong sa atin,” he said.
Officially joining the roster of local artists on their sixth-year anniversary, Dingdong excitedly shared a special project that Coco will lead under the organization.
“Nakakatuwang isipin na ang usapang iyon ay magiging isang solid at konkretong proyekto very soon, na ilulunsad namin kasama si Coco, na siya rin mismo ang mamumuno nito sa ilalim ng AKTOR. Welcome to Aktor, Coco Martin At salamat po, Ma’am Charo,” he expressed.
Charo also revealed that she and Dingdong personally invited Coco to become part of the organization.
“We invited Coco to become part of @aktorph, and true to his heart for the craft, he said yes—not only as a member, but with a sincere desire to contribute more meaningfully to the acting community,” she wrote.
Crediting Coco’s influence in the entertainment industry, Charo continued, “With his influence, discipline, generosity, and work ethic, Coco is such a valuable addition to the organization, and I am truly proud to welcome him into AKTOR. 🤍 Congratulations to Chairman Dingdong Dantes and the entire executive team for the many milestones you continue to achieve for Filipino actors and our industry. Exciting times ahead. 🥰”
On his part, Coco expressed gratitude to AKTOR PH and emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among actors.
“Maraming salamat, @aktorph, sa inyong pagmamahal sa ating sining. Nakikiisa ako, sa hangaring mas makapag-ambag sa komunidad ng mga artista at sa ating industriya.”
“Saludo ako sa inyong pamumuno, Mr. Dingdong Dantes, Ms. Iza Calzado, Ms. Charo Santos-Concio at buong executive team sa inyong mga nasimulan at sa madami pang tagumpay na patuloy nating makakamit para sa mga artistang Pilipino at sa ating industriya. Ipinagmamalaki ko na ako ay isang, Ka-Aktor,” Coco wrote in a post.
Last weekend, AKTOR PH celebrated its sixth anniversary.
Among those spotted at the event were Iza Calzado, Agot Isidro, Marian Rivera, Bobby Andrews, Paolo Contis, Shaina Magdayao, Angel Aquino, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
