Filipina singer and UNIS member Elisia Parmisano talked about her life in South Korea and how she found seven sisters in the girl group. In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, she explained how the members get along well with one another despite coming from different countries.

Elisia is one of the two members of UNIS coming from the Philippines. The group was formed through the SBS survival show Universe Ticket where she placed first.

The Filipina singer was the first member announced as part of UNIS after earning enough votes from fans to secure the top spot in the program. Since then, the group’s vocalist has been making waves with her voice.

Recalling the moment she won as top seed, Elisia admitted that she was shocked as she felt like it was a dream for her.

“It was definitely such a surreal moment for me. That time, I was that fluent pa in Korean yet so when they were announcing it, parang is this actually real? Is this real? Am I not just misunderstanding the whole situation? It just really felt like a dream and I’m so so happy,” she shared.

“Nung naconfirm na rin yung members ko, I was so happy din because I was able to be in a group with seven other girls na talagang sisters ko po,” she added.

Elisia then shared that, while there are cultural differences among the members, it’s through their love for their fans and the group that they unite as one.

“I think what unites us po talaga is our passion for our group –– for our dream. Our passion for our dream as members of UNIS,” she said.

“We have our own cultural differences, we still find a way to connect with each other and to adjust to each other’s lifestyle because of our passion,” she continued.

After moving to another country at such a young age, the UNIS member revealed that she’s continuing to do her best to adjust and adapt to the foreign country. Despite this, Elisia candidly shared that she still misses the Philippines –– most especially the people and her grandmother’s home cooking.

As they marked their second anniversary last month, Elisia expressed her gratitude towards their EverAfters who have supported them since the start.

“Thank you thank you so much for always supporting UNIS until the very start until now. UNIS is continuing to work hard for you guys and we hope you guys look forward to whatever we have to show you in the future. Thank you for everything and for the love and support,” she ended.
