Kapamilya stars and programs took home top honors at the 7th Village Pipol Choice Awards, with “TV Patrol” winning News Program of the Year and several ABS-CBN artists earning recognition across fan-voted categories.
Resident meteorologist Ariel Rojas accepted the award for “TV Patrol” and dedicated the honor to all the men and women who tirelessly work behind the scenes.
“Sa nakalipas na apat na dekada ay naging chronicler at witness sa kasaysayan ang ‘TVPatrol’ kaya nagpapasalamat po kami sa inyong patuloy na pagsuporta at pagtiwala sa amin,” Rojas said.
One of ABS-CBN’s young P-pop groups, Wrive, took home the Rising P-pop Star of the Year award. After their debut last year, this award gave the boys the extra push they need.
“Lahat ng efforts namin, mga pinagdaanan namin especially debuting last year, it’s still, sobrang nakakataba ng puso na narerecognize kami. We feel seen and happy po kami na nakakaambag kami sa OPM industry,” said Ishiro.

Esnyr took home the YouTuber of the Year, while Mika Salamanca’s “Sino Nga Ba Siya” video was recognized as the Viral TikTok Video of the Year. Her music video for “What If Tayo?” with Brent Manalo was hailed the Music Video of the Year.
Manaklo, on the other hand, also got the Fashion Influencer of the Year honor.
“You’re seen, you’re acknowledged for all the hard work you put in whatever you wanna do, malaking bagay siya sa akin,” said Manalo.
That is why, he is more than excited for his upcoming fan-con on May 22, his way of giving back to his fans. “It’s really more of dating with my fans kasi para sa kanila naman talaga itong fan-con na ito,” he said.
Bianca de Vera was honored as the Promising Female Star, while her on-screen and rumored off-screen partner Dustin Yu was hailed as the Best Supporting Movie Actor of the Year. Their fans Dustbia got the Fandom of the Year award.
Ralph de Leon got the New Male TV Personality recognition, boosting his enthusiasm for his hosting gig in the youth debate show “YSpeak.”
“I’m so happy with ‘YSpeak’ coming up, it’s gonna be a platform for so many young voices to talk about things that matter. Things that really have to be talked about especially dito sa Pilipinas,” said de Leon.
