Celebrity couple Janine Gutierrez and Jericho Rosales took time off from filming their upcoming series The Loyalty Game to explore the charm and heritage of Iloilo City.
On her Instagram page, Janine shared glimpses of their downtime, describing their experience as magical as they wandered through the city.
“Explored a bit of Iloilo during rest days of cycle one of #TheLoyaltyGame shooting and it was magical,” Janine wrote.
“One of the most charming places I've ever been to and we absolutely fell in love with all the churches and heritage houses,” she added.
The Kapamilya actress also revealed that some scenes for the series were filmed in ancestral homes, which deepened her appreciation for the location.
“So lucky to also get to film in beautiful ancestral homes that have allowed us in. My history geek heart is so happy that work brings me to so many cool places. can't wait to see it on screen. can't wait to show you!!! ❤️,” she expressed.
In some of the replies in the comment section, Janine said that they will be returning to Iloilo soon. Currently, the production team is in Bacolod for the next leg of filming.
Starring Janine and Jericho, along with Sofia Andres, The Loyalty Game is one of the Kapamilya upcoming series that will be available on Prime Video soon. The show is the second project that Janine and Jericho are working on together following Lavender Fields.
“It’s nice to be working again, it’s great, we know each other very well,” Jericho said about working again with Janine.
“I’m super excited because it’s the kind of project that I would also really watch on Prime. It’s mysterious, it’s for thrill seekers, and it’s for people who love plot twists,” Janine shared.
In an interview in ABS-CBN News’ Oh My Gan!, Janine opened up on how “simple, comfortable, and grounded” her relationship with Jericho was. The actress shared that on rest days during their lock-in shoots in Iloilo, the couple preferred spending quiet, meaningful time together.
“Magda-drive lang kami. Ang ginawa namin, nag-drive kami, dumaan sa simbahan, dumaan sa museum, kumain. Very simple lang. Parang just happy to spend time together. Kwentuhan,” she said.
Janine also shared how Jericho was an answered prayer when she was looking for a partner.
“When I met Echo, I was like, ‘Oh my God, lahat ito, siya,'” she said. “Totoo pala na if you really manifest and pray for the kind of person na gusto mong makasama, parang ibigay siya ni Lord.”

The couple first confirmed they were exclusively dating during promotions for Lavender Fields, following months of speculation. Since then, they have occasionally shared glimpses of their relationship on social media.
Meanwhile, Janine recently signed as a new artist under ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. She was also named Esquire Philippines’ Sexiest Woman Alive.
