Manon Bannerman made a surprise onstage appearance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, but not in the way many fans expected.
The KATSEYE member stepped onto the iconic stage during this year’s festival. However, instead of joining her group, Manon appeared as part of another artist’s set, leaving fans both excited and puzzled.

Earlier in the festival, KATSEYE had already made waves with their own performances across both weekends, delivering fan-favorite tracks such as “Game Boy,” “Mean Girls,” “Internet Girl,” “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” and their latest release, “Pinky Up.”
The group performed as a five-member act with Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Yoonchae, and Megan, following the announcement in February that Manon would be taking a “temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing.”
Despite this, Manon made an unexpected appearance on the Coachella stage on April 18 as a special guest during the set of British singer-producer PinkPantheress. The performance also featured appearances from actor Chase Infiniti and singer Zara Larsson.
While Manon did not sing or formally perform, fans noted her presence as she vibed on stage, enjoying the moment alongside the performers. For many, it was a welcome sight, but it also raised questions, especially since her groupmates had performed at the same festival just a day earlier.
Clips of Manon on the PinkPantheress stage quickly circulated online, with attendees sharing videos of her enjoying the moment. She was also spotted during the festival’s first weekend, further fueling fan curiosity. The situation has left many followers wondering about her current standing with the group.

Confusion over Manon’s status had already deepened earlier when she removed “KATSEYE” from her Instagram bio weeks before Coachella.
Still, she reassured fans at the time through a message on Weverse, saying that she is in "positive conversations" with HYBE and Geffen Records.
“Thank you so much for all the love and support you've been sending my way. I’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time,” she previously wrote. “HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I'm happy and I'm healthy. I'll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me,” she added.
As of this writing, neither HYBE nor Geffen Records has issued a statement regarding the specifics of Manon’s Coachella appearance, and her hiatus status remains officially unchanged. With developments continuing to unfold, fans remain hopeful for clarity on Manon’s future with KATSEYE, holding on to her words while waiting for what comes next.
