Kathryn Bernardo recently took to social media to share glimpses of her trip to Bhutan, which happens to be one of the filming locations of her hit series Princess and I.
On her Instagram page, the actress posted a montage of her adventure, opening the video with the line: “Wanna go hiking with me?”
Kathryn then gave fans a look at her journey in Bhutan, featuring scenic views and moments from various parts of Bhutan, including the iconic Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Perched on a cliffside in the upper Paro Valley, the Vajrayana Buddhist site stands as one of Bhutan’s most sacred landmarks.
Princess and I aired on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup from 2012 to 2013. The series was filmed in both Bhutan and the Philippines.
The story follows Areeyah (Kathryn), the heir to the throne of Yangdon, who grows up in the Philippines under the name Mikay after being saved from an accident. Her life takes a turn when she wins a trip to her homeland.
The series also starred Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Gretchen Barretto, and Albert Martinez, among others.
Prior to her Bhutan trip, Kathryn also traveled to Thailand with her team.

Kathryn is set to star in the upcoming ABS-CBN's Dreamscape Entertainment series Someone, Someday alongside James Reid.
In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Kathryn expressed her excitement about her collaboration with James.
“Sinabi ko rin sa kanya nung nag-shoot kami ng video for that look test, grabe who would have thought na after ilang years, we are both from different love teams, tapos now, comeback niya rin. Wala, posible na talaga ngayon. It’s exciting and it excites us," she remarked.
The actress also teased about what fans could expect from the show.
“Out of all the stories na they presented, parang this one na something na gusto kong gawin. It’s not just love story, it’s about friendship, family, and it’s about women," she shared.
