SB19, BGYO, Kim Chiu, and more stars applaud BINI’s global milestone on Coachella stage

As BINI made history as the first all-Filipino act to perform at Coachella, celebrities sent messages of pride and support.

As BINI conquered the international stage and became the first-ever all-Filipino act to perform at Coachella, conversations quickly spread between fans and audiences worldwide. Beaming with pride and honor, several celebrities joined in celebrating the Nation’s Girl Group, echoing the excitement that surrounded their milestone moment.

BINI performed on April 11 (PH time) on the Mojave stage, delivering a 10-track setlist in a 45-minute showcase that thrilled fans. Blooms filled the venue with cheers, while online, social media buzzed nonstop, making their Coachella debut trend worldwide.  

Alongside fans, fellow artists and public figures also took to various platforms to express their admiration for the octet. 

On Instagram, Fil-Am social media personality Bretman Rock, who was present at the Mojave tent, shared a glimpse of himself singing and jamming to “Salamin, Salamin” through his Instagram stories, capturing the infectious energy of BINI’s performance. 

Support also poured in from closer to home. Actress Sharlene San Pedro, known to be BINI member Gwen’s best friend, tuned in via livestream and shared a series of reactions on Instagram.  

“What a set! Walang pahinga pahinga. Ang gaganda niyong lahat at ang gagaling niyo,” she wrote in one of her posts.

“Parang hindi na ikaw yung kasama namin mag skrambol at sisig sa UP,” she added, alongside a video featuring Gwen during the performance. 

Director Paolo Valenciano also joined the chorus of praise, recalling one standout moment from the group’s set. Quoting BINI’s line on stage, he wrote: “'Coachella, mag ingay!!' — damn , that hit HARD 🇵🇭❤” 



On Facebook, producer and singer-songwriter Jonathan Manalo, who worked on several of BINI’s hits including “Lagi,” “Strings,” “Blooming,” and “Paru-paro”, expressed his pride in the group’s global breakthrough. 

“Soooo proud of our nation’s girl group BINI_ph! 🌸 

"Grabe their full Coachella performance! They truly brought Filipino excellence in music to the global stage. Legit! A truly unforgettable, defining moment for P-pop 🙌🏻 

"Mabuhay ang musikang Pilipino!🇵🇭🌏🎶,” he wrote. 

Jonathan is also set to head to Los Angeles for the second week of Coachella Festival 2026.

Meanwhile, the celebration extended across X (formerly Twitter), where celebrities and fans alike actively interacted over BINI’s historic feat 

Awra Briguela shared a video of Team Bloom USA’s aerial banner in support of the group. 



“Proud is an understatement, BINI at Coachella just raised the flag for all of us 🇵🇭✨,” she wrote. 

Boy group BGYO had also been amplifying news about BINI even before their Coachella debut. After the performance, the boy group sent their congratulations.  

“A huge congratulations to @BINI_ph , for their iconic debut at the Coachella stage. Sobrang proud kami para sa inyo! Mabuhay ang musikang Pilipino! 🇵🇭,” the group wrote. 



Another wave of pride came from Kings of P-Pop, SB19, who highlighted the significance of the moment for the entire genre. 

“BINIchella stage is another huge win for P-pop on the global stage! Congrats @BINI_ph, you truly made the Coachella stage Blush tonight 🌸🔥Mabuhay ang musikang Pilipino, sana'y magpatuloy ang panalo ng P-pop sa buong mundo! 🇵🇭” 



SB19 members also shared personal messages. 

“CONGRATSSS MGA DZAIII! AMA IS ZING!!! @BINI_ph🌸❤️‍🔥🇵🇭,” wrote Stell Ajero. 

“Booogsh! 🌸🥹,” added Justin De Dios, who reposted a compilation of BINI members’ solo photos.  

Actress Kim Chiu underscored how BINI’s performance resonated as a powerful form of representation. 



“HUGE HUGE HUGE Congratuations @BINI_ph👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for someone na nanood ng Coachella on YouTube! Iba pala pag Filipino songs napapanood at napapakinggan!! #representation at its finest!!! Congratulations to everyone behind BINI and of course #BINI 🙏🏻🥹galing!!! 🇵🇭,” she wrote.

Pinoy Big Brother host Bianca Gonzales also documented her viewing moment, highlighting the global reach of Filipino languages through BINI’s music, particularly their song “Blush,” which features Bisaya lyrics. 



“BLUSH is already one of my fave BINI songs. It captures the kilig of a crush so wonderfully 🌸 Plus the parts where its Filipino and Bisaya sana more! 🇵🇭💫,” she shared, alongside other posts. 

More artists continued to echo the sentiment. Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista wrote: “Mighty proud of @BINI_ph! What a strong moment for Filipinos🙏” 

Meanwhile, Erik Santos reflected on the group’s impact amid challenging times: “In the middle of everything we’re going through, #BINI is the boost of hope and energy every Filipino needs right now. A true reminder of the Filipino spirit - hopeful, resilient, and always blooming. 🙏🏻❤️🇵🇭 Mabuhay kayo, BINI! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻” 



OPM chief Ogie Alcasid also shared a heartfelt message, celebrating both BINI and the continued rise of Filipino acts globally, while tagging SB19, who are set to perform at Lollapalooza this year. 

“My old opm heart is so happy for @BINI_ph❤️❤️❤️ lapit na rin ang @SB19Official❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏🙏🙏🎤🎤🎤,” he wrote. 



Beyond celebrity circles, hundreds of thousands of fans flooded social media with messages of support, amplifying the pride felt across the Filipino community worldwide. 

BINI is set to return for a second performance on April 18 (PHT), where they are expected to deliver yet another electrifying set, one that fans are already eagerly anticipating.
