Zendaya revealed that she plans to step back from the limelight following a string of films and a series set to be released this year.
"I just hope you guys don't get sick of me this year. I really appreciate everyone who supports any of my movies, or supports my career in any way," she said in an interview with Fandango's Big Ticket.
Among her upcoming projects this year are The Drama, The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Dune: Part Three. She will also return for the new season of HBO's Euphoria.
“After this, I'm disappearing for a little bit. I'm gonna have to go into hiding," she said.
Early in March, Zendaya and Tom Holland reportedly got married according to the former's stylist, Law Roach. However, the couple has yet to confirm the reports.
Amid the rumors, in a recent interview with French magazine Views while promoting The Drama where Zandaya and Robert Pattinson play a couple who is about to get married, the actress reflected on what makes a strong marriage.
"I don't know if there's any such thing as a perfect marriage, but I'd say people who—I don't know, this is a corny answer—seem like best friends. I think it's always nice to see two people that, I don't know, really like each other, as well as love each other," she stated.
Meanwhile, in a 2025 interview with Men’s Health, Tom shared his long-term plans, saying he intends to step away from acting once he starts a family.
"When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore," he revealed.

The actor added that his priorities would shift to "golf and dad." He added: "And I will just disappear off the face of the earth."
Zendaya and Tom first worked together in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), where they portrayed MJ and Parker/Spider-Man, respectively. Their relationship was publicly confirmed in 2021 after they were photographed sharing a kiss.
In an earlier interview with GQ, Zendaya shared why she prefers to keep their relationship private.
"The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own," the actress pointed out.
