Veteran broadcaster Graham Norton has finally set the record straight surrounding his earlier remark about signing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for the much-talked-about wedding of pop superstar Taylor Swift and football star Travis Kelce, clarifying that the statement was never meant to be taken seriously.
The confusion stemmed from a January episode of his podcast Wanging On, when Graham was asked about the high-profile wedding. At the time, the broadcaster playfully responded that he could not say anything because he had signed “so many NDAs.”
The comment quickly gained traction, with several media outlets interpreting it as confirmation of the strict secrecy surrounding the event.
Addressing the issue months later, Graham clarified that there was no truth behind the NDAs. According to The Independent on March 25, Graham denied that any such agreements were in place. Speaking to his co-host Maria McErlane at Advertising Week Europe, he said: "I don’t know, no (I have not signed a non-disclosure agreement)."
He went on to explain how the joke escalated beyond his expectations, saying, "I said that as a joke on the podcast, I said, ‘oh I’ve signed all these NDAs’, and then it started getting reported as a serious thing in America. I didn’t say cut that out because I thought it was so obviously a joke."
Graham’s clarification also comes months after Taylor made a lighthearted remark about inviting him to her wedding during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in October 2025. When he asked whether the ceremony would take place in 2026, Taylor teased him with, “Oh, you’ll know,” before adding, “I just mean, I was going to invite you to it.”

At the time, the singer admitted that wedding preparations had yet to begin, noting that planning would come after the release of her album The Life of a Showgirl. She shared her excitement about the process, saying, “I’m so excited about it. It’s going to be fun to plan, because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount of people and people are on the bubble—and you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there.”
Taylor and Travis announced their engagement in August 2025 after dating since 2023, sharing romantic photos from the proposal, which took place at Travis’s home in Missouri. Alongside the images, Taylor wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”
