As one of the most enduring couples in the OPM industry, Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado have already made a name for themselves way before they decided to tie the knot in 2001 and create a life together. The two are also proud parents to their only child, singer and actress Jayda Avanzado. But when they first got together, their relationship was not without intrigue, which was brought up by Jessa in her most recent social media post last March 18.
In her Instagram account, Jessa shared her reflection as she and Dingdong are set to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year. She wrote,
“26 years ago, we were faced with so many trials, false accusations, naysayers & adversities. Even public perception felt completely out of our control at one point.
"But our love stood the test of time. We silently built our little Family & truly brought GOD to the center of our Marriage. In the midst of all our storms, our Lord JESUS, brought us refuge. He has been faithful to our marriage all these years. We are blessed to have Jayda, the product of our love, and of course, each other.
"25 years later, there’s nothing else we need more than that ❤️

Friends of the couple also sent their well wishes on their silver wedding anniversary. Stars like Ogie Alcasid, VIna Morales, Gladys Reyes, Sunshine Cruz, Randy Santiago, and Regine Tolentino shared messages for Jessa and Dingdong in the comments section of the post.
In an interview with the media in 2024, Dingdong shared the secret to his long-lasting marriage to Jessa.
“Para tumagal ang isang relationship, kasi lahat naman may kanya-kanyang personality so I think you have to learn to adjust with your partner and it’s very important that you develop a certain level of understanding of each other’s idiosyncrasies or you have to give the chance to that person to feel themselves. Dapat merong me time yan eh. So kami ni Jessa, meron kaming ganun. So we’re not always together. But at the end of the day, we are together and we tell our stories, kung ano yung nangyari sa araw.”
The 57-year-old singer, who is known for hit songs like “Tatlong Beinte Singko,” “Ikaw Lamang”, and Basta’t Kasama Kita,” also added that it was important not to be too possessive of one’s partner in life.
"It’s because we’ve learned to give each other space. And the most important thing is to respect each other. Dapat alam mo kung ano yung design ni God para sa inyo. Kasi may kanya kanya kaming roles in a relationship. So dapat you have to respect those boundaries.
"When we were starting, hindi pa namin lubos naunawaaan yun or naintindihan yun, pero as time goes on, we kind of got it na. Of course especially with the Lord’s guidance. Na dapat ang Panginoon nasa gitna lang,” he said.

Last year, Jessa released the single "Ang Sakit Sakit," which also marked Jessa’s collaboration reunion with Pinoy composer Vehnee Saturno after more than a decade. As the voice behind classic Pinoy karaoke anthems like “Bakit Pa,' "'Di Ba't Ikaw," and "Paano Kaya," Jessa continues to be active in the OPM scene along with her husband. The couple are set to perform in a series of concerts in US states like Michigan and California for their “Sa Aking Puso: The Panghabangbuhay US Tour 2026” starting this month.
