Kris Aquino just announced that she is finally going home after spending six weeks in the hospital. As she marks another step in her recovery, she also said that she will be sharing her health challenges on her upcoming podcast soon.
In an Instagram post on February 9, the Queen of All Media shared that they will be heading to their new home while expressing deep gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support she received.
“We are finally settling into our new HOME straight from the hospital after 6 rollercoaster weeks. I am so very grateful to all of you for your continued prayers and well wishes,” she wrote.
It was last January when she first revealed that she stopped breathing for almost two minutes after her lungs stopped functioning during a minor procedure. She also had her Port-a-Cath redone the same month. With this, she acknowledged the many medical professionals who stood by her throughout her treatment.
“l am thankful that I was well taken care of by the nurses, radiology technicians, the pain management team, the cardiology team, the anesthesia team, the very dedicated members of the Rheumatology department, and ‘the sharp shooters’ from the pathology department.”
As she shared updates about her health, Kris also took a moment to remember her late brother, former President Benigno “NoyNoy” S. Aquino III, who would have celebrated his 66th birthday last February 8. She recounted a deep personal exchange they once had during a difficult time.

“The actions of two men shall remain unwritten because yesterday would have been the 66th birthday of my brother, my only Kuya, Benigno S. Aquino III. We once had a text message exchange during a time when he was being so brutally crucified on social media. I can remember so clearly his reply to me when I said: ’You're being beaten up so badly. Defend yourself – it’s so unfair. This mess is not your fault. You don't have to be the silent leader all the time because you have a legacy of many achievements to protect’," Kris recalled.
She then quoted her brother’s response, which continues to guide her today. "Kristina, please learn to relax and leave everything up to the One above. My conscience is clear, and I can still sleep peacefully. Matulog ka na, and please, 'wag kang pumatol.' Less talk, the sooner this will die down. If you talk, you will just fan the flames, and who will be the happiest? Our enemies. Our birthdays are coming – let's have peaceful ones."
“When I discuss my current health issues, my Ate sometimes reminds me not to scare my followers because they want to see a happy and hopeful Kris,” Kris added.
She assured fans that there will be a proper time to talk about the full extent of her health challenges, particularly through her upcoming podcast.
“I’ll discuss my health challenges when the #KrisPodcast is ready for your viewing and listening, and experts can explain to you why every day God gives is simply ‘borrowed time.’ I am praying hard my ‘RETURN TO OWNER’ date is still a decade away,“ she said.
Alongside her gratitude for her medical teams, Kris also thanked her former boyfriend, Dr. Mike Padlan, for playing a crucial role during a critical moment in her health journey.
“My former boyfriend, who was literally one call away on Dec. 25 and 26 and facilitated my confinement, Dr. Mike Padlan – I AM FOREVER INDEBTED BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, I WOULD NO LONGER BE HERE,” she maintained.
“When I first opened up to Ogie Diaz about ‘my doctor from Makati,’ — I remember saying that with him, I felt safe. We didn’t work as a couple, BUT we do work as physician and patient because Dr. Mike knows me and how my body works; he has seen and continues to witness me at my weakest and instinctively knows which doctors I will get along with.”
As she transitions back home, Kris said she is set to begin physical medical rehabilitation next week after the stitches on her Port-a-Cath are removed, signaling another milestone in her recovery.
She also gave fans something to look forward to, sharing that she is slowly feeling like herself again and preparing for the launch of her podcast once she is medically cleared.
“But I feel it, do you? I’m slowly getting back the old ‘say-it-like-it-is, ready-to-laugh, even-at-herself’ me. Once I get my medical clearance, I’ll be ready for my #KrisPodcast,” she said.

“What makes it even more exciting is the team I may have the chance to work with—for now, that’s a big secret,” she teased.
She ended her message with words that have long resonated with her supporters: “Remember: be #brave and always #LoveLoveLove.”
Earlier this month, Kris revealed that she has Deep Vein Thrombosis. She also shared her excitement for her upcoming birthday on February 14, saying she prefers balloons instead of flowers due to allergies. Looking ahead, Kris described this year as her “rainbow year,” holding on to hope as she continues to overcome her health challenges and prepare to share her story in her podcast.
