After celebrating her birthday last February 2, content creator and actress Sassa Gurl couldn’t help but share her happiness after receiving a birthday gift from Marian Rivera. The two first worked together on the set of director Kip Oebanda’s 2024 film Balota. In her Instagram post last February 4, Sassa wrote in the caption, “Popost talaga kasi binigyan ng regalo ni nayshie @marianrivera.”
In the posted reel, Sassa Gurl can be seen trying on different poses at home with her brand new designer clutch by Carolina Herrera, which is said to be one of Marian Rivera’s favorite luxury brands and can been seen in multiple showbiz events wearing outfits from the Venezuelan-American fashion designer.
In the video, Sassa shared, “Ang pasabog ng binigay ni ate Yan! Bakla, mahal ata ‘to. Sorry, ate Yan, na kunwari pag wala na ako makain, talagang bebenta talaga ito. Pero pasabog, tingnan niyo original talaga bakla, oh. May tag pa yan. Baka sabihin ninyo o. Shala! Thank you ate Marian. Ang ganda mo talaga mamii, pasabog. Ang perfect niya. Yung leather bakla parang hindi nakakamot. Loko, amoy Europe. Ganun! Thank you ma! Ang shala talaga siya, kakaiba.”
The talented social media personality-turned-actress also made sure to thank Marian for helping open doors for her in the industry. “Thank you so much, ma! Sobrang pasabog at saka yung mga kulay talaga, palaban, bakla. Yung mga kulay na pinipili ni ate Yan talagang yaas. Bagay siya sa color ko di ba? Thank you! Thank you, ate. Salamat sa pa-bday gift mo and of course siyempre sa lahat ng mga binibigay mo sa aking opportunities, ate. So yes, love you! Mother talaga kita. Mwah,” she said.
In the comments section, Marian posted a happy birthday greeting, which prompted Sassa Gurl to clarify that she was just joking when she said she would sell the bag in times of need. She wrote, “@marianrivera eme lang nay sa bebenta! Keep ko 'to forever muwahh hbd talaga to me.”

Last year, Sassa Gurl starred in two Metro Manila Film Festival full-length movie entries Shake, Rattle, and Roll: Evil Origins and Bar Boys After School. She also took on the role as film producer in the queer film Multwoh which was also released last year.
