Rising actor Andres Muhlach revealed that he has never had a girlfriend and it’s because he chooses not to have one yet. In an interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda earlier this week, the Bagets The Musical star explained how he’s focusing on his career for now but maintained he has courted someone in the past.
Andres plays the role of Adie in Bagets The Musical which was originally played by his father, Aga Muhlach, in the 1984 iconic coming-of-age barkada film.

When Boy asked him about his love life, the young actor admitted that he never had a girlfriend even in the past.
“Hindi pa.”
“That’s by choice naman, oo. Kasi right now, with the way everything has happened, mas lalo with work and everything, parang I’ve been so busy with these last few years,” he explained.
Apart from Bagets The Musical, Andres has been starring in several series and films such as Ang Mutya ng Section E and Minamahal, among others.
While he doesn’t have a girlfriend, the actor got candid with his answer as he maintained he already courted someone in the past but never got officially together. He then shared a glimpse of what his father advised him when it comes to courting someone and how it could help him in the future.
“Yung advice niya sa akin is thoughtfulness–– yun talaga yun. Parang being able to think of the person that you like without even them having to remind you parang yun yun. That’s the biggest tip in terms of [courting]–– thoughtfulness talaga,” he shared.
Andres explained how his parents have also given him love advice but “they’re never controlling about it”–– revealing how he hasn’t brought anyone to their home yet to formally introduce them to the family.
“The biggest thing talaga is just be yourself. Yun talaga yung sinasabi niya sa akin. Halimbawa, when it comes to relationships, you don’t want to be pretending to be someone you’re not. You just want to be yourself really and if she likes you for who you are then yun yun, di ba,” he ended.
Andres is the son of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez. He has a twin sister, Atasha Muhlach, who also entered the showbiz industry and has been in various acting projects as well.
