Showbiz commentator Ogie Diaz dropped Monday a big blind item featuring "fashion actress and her mother" on his showbiz vlog, which he eventually identified as Heart Evangelista and her mother Cecilia Ongpauco.
Telling his viewers that Evangelista and Ongpauco endured a robbery attempt in Paris, Diaz shared, “Last month, nilooban at pinasukan ang kanyang tinitirhang apartment sa Paris. Hindi yata naisara lahat or na-lock lahat ng door para completely masara ang pinto.”
“So napasok sila. Eh, kasama niya nanay niya [noong time na ‘yun]. Napasok [sila] sa kwarto. Naloka si fashionistang actress,” he added.
Diaz went on to share that someone had raised the alarm and that Evangelista had been composed during the incident. Shortly after, the burglar fled with only a bag containing a semi-precious stone and fancy accessories.
“May presence of mind si fashionistang actress. ‘Yung mommy niya, nag-hysterical. Pinakalma niya by pressing her hand,” he claimed.
He added, “Buti na lang, nag-alarm ‘yung buong bahay. Sa taranta ng akyat-bahay, nabibit ang bag na may precious semi-stone. ‘Yun lang dala. May mga fancy accessories. Buti ‘yun lang daw [ang] nakuha.”
The talent manager and entertainment reporter also mentioned that the fashionista’s other valuables were secure because they were in her mother's purse at the time.
He shared, “‘Yung bag ng Mommy, hindi nakita. Sobrang in shock si Mommy habang kalmado si actress. Buti na lang may kasama sila roon. Siguro ‘yung kasama ang nag-alarm. Buti na lang, ‘yun ang nakuha. Kasi ‘yung ibang gamit ni Heart, nasa bag ni Mommy.”
It wasn't immediately clear whether Evangelista or her camp informed the French authorities about the incident.
Last January, the global fashion influencer and her mom visited the French city for the Paris Men's Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026, which marked her fashion week return.
