With more and more controversial details of her estranged relationship with husband Derek Ramsay coming to light, Ellen Adarna became a hot topic once again in showbiz after she posted a series of Instagram Stories last Friday, February 20, where she candidly answered questions from her social media followers.
The 37-year-old actress revealed that although she had asked for monthly child support for her youngest child Lili from Derek, he had only sent her a credit card with a credit limit of ₱50,000, which amounts to barely over 50% of the amount that she had initially informed him that their daughter needed. Ellen also explained why in comparison, she had requested for less than half that amount of child support for her eldest child Elias, with former boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.
“Because Elias was only a toddler at that time so he wasn’t schooling and I was in Cebu. When I’m in Cebu, everything is taken cared of, my house, bills, driver, yayas. It’s all paid for (by) the company so my only gastos when I was in Cebu was only my groceries. So it was fair na yun lang. Actually I didn’t ask for 20(k), I only asked for 10(k), but since it was John Lloyd who insisted he’ll double the amount. So yung ₱20,000 he wanted to double it, naging 20. So yun. So that explains it, okay?” she said.

With growing speculation online last month about John Lloyd’s rumored breakup with girlfriend artist Isabel Santos (which was subsequently proven false after they were spotted together on a trip abroad that same month), Ellen clarified that there is no chance of her reconciling with Elias’s father.

“In fairness talaga kay JL, wala akong masabi. Hindi na kailangan pagsabihan. And huwag niyo na itong gawing chismis ha kasi JL and I are better off as co-parents, as in super okay kami sa co-parenting namin. Chika lang. So when he found out that we moved houses, si Elias, anak niya, kasama. You know what, he offered like, ‘Len, kung ano man kailangan niyo, just let me know. Baka makatulong kami.’ Di ba? Nagkusa. So there. Iba talaga ang taong ganyan, yung (may) kusa,” she said.
