Sofia Trazona, the trans child of former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona, clapped back at the remarks made by her mother’s husband, Alvin Aragon. In an interview with Ogie Diaz, the proud member of the LGBTQIA+ Community expressed her thoughts and opinions on the trending topic on social media.
Alvin cited Bible verses in his previous interview to talk about faith and homosexuality.
“God will throw you to hell if you continue to do homosexuality, mamuhay ka, and you don't want to believe in Jesus? I assure you that God will throw you to hell if you don't stop, if you don’t repent, and believe in the gospel,” Alvin previously shared.
Sofia then expressed how she has a personal relationship with her faith and only God can judge her–– not anyone else.
“I believe I am only answerable to God alone. Siya lang ang pwedeng mag judge sa akin and if yung mga ibang tao ijujudge ako, I wouldn’t take it personally. Kasi siya lang ang pwede mang judge sa akin,” she answered.
She then reminded that her faith accepts people and doesn’t condemn anyone, especially those who believe.
“The Word of God doesn’t condemn people kasi mahal nga tayo ng Diyos bakit niya tayo icocodemn? Talagang tatanggapin niya tayo. Tinanggap niya nga tayong makasalanan what more pa na naniniwala tayo sa kanya?” she said.
“I have a personal relationship with God,” she added.
Despite this, she admitted that the interview of Alvin was a bit condescending as it felt like it was degrading the LGBTQIA+ Community.

“Bakit parang medyo condescending na yung naging interview. Medyo nakaka degrade ng pagkatao na grabe naman yung tingin sa amin, hindi naman kami nag-nakaw–– hindi naman kami pumatay ng tao,” she questioned.
“Nagtratrabaho naman kami ng maayos, wala naman kaming tinatapakan na ibang tao, masaya namin kami sa ginagawa namin, and meron kaming personal na relasyon sa Diyos at walang pwedeng kumwestyon doon,” she continued.
Sofia maintained that being part of the LGBTQIA+ Community isn’t a choice that she made.
“It’s not a choice. Yung pagiging bading hindi siya choice talagang nasa loob talaga. Hindi parang pumili ka lang na ano masarap na prutas ngayon, hindi siya ganun. Today, straight ako, bukas, bakla naman ako, hindi siya ganun,” she asserted.
When asked to give a message to her mother, Sofia maintained that she has nothing but love for her and hopes to see her someday.
“Despite na kahit ano nangyari, mahal na mahal ko talaga siya. Mahal na mahal kita, Ma. Hindi magbabago yung kahit na maraming hindi tayo pagkakaintindihan. Excited ako makita ka. Sana magkita na tayo,” she ended.
