Roja actress Maymay Entrata had a memorable Valentine’s Day celebration with her partner, Joaquin Enriquez. The couple finally reunited in the United States after months of being apart.
On social media, Maymay shared snaps of their heart’s day celebration which was spent on a beach in Hawaii, pairing it with a heartfelt message for Joaquin.
“Walang kahit sino man ang makakaintindi how much I appreciate your hard work just to always make me feel extra special. Thank you so much for making me realize na okay lang pala not to settle for the bare minimum..na deserve ko ang effort, consistency, at pagmamahal na hindi pilit at hindi kulang,” Maymay said in the caption.
She added, “You make ‘love’ feel safe, intentional, and genuine. I’m so grateful for you mahal for your patience, gentleness, kindness, and all the little things you do na higit pa sa inaakala mo.”
Praying for their relationship, Maymay continued, “May God continue to guide us as we grow our faith in this relationship. May He always be at the center of everything we build together. More days to love, more memories to create, more prayers to whisper together, and more dreams to chase hand in hand. Happy Valentine's Day My person, Joaquin. ❤️.”
On his end, Joaquin documented how he prepared a surprise Valentine’s date for Maymay, who had just arrived in the US at that time. In the video, he shared that he planned to ask her to be his Valentine — with a special twist.
“I’m literally about to surprise my girlfriend right now. She’s coming in from the airport. I haven’t seen her for a while. Long distance relationships. I’ll ask her to be my Valentine for Valentine's Day but there’s a twist,” Joaquin shared, showing off his prepared surprise.
“The twist is that she does not know that I got her tickets to Hawaii,” he revealed. “She literally means the world to me and nobody in this world that I would rather spend the rest of my life with… I’m so proud of you in all your accomplishments, in everything you’ve done.”
In a follow-up clip, Joaquin captured Maymay’s emotional reaction as she said yes to the Valentine’s trip. The couple was later seen enjoying their time together in Hawaii.
“Happy Valentine’s Day to the most beautiful, kindhearted, silly, sassy, intelligent, God-fearing, humble, talented, sweet, loving, and the most down to earth person I’ve ever met. Everyday with you feels like Valentine’s because you deserve to be celebrated and loved 24/7,” Joaquin wrote.
He also expressed his admiration for Maymay, adding: “I’m in awe of how resilient and strong you’ve always been. Through everything you’ve endured in life, you continue to lead with nothing but love and positivity. Through both thick and thin, I’m right here with you through it all. It’s been a PRIVILEGE to admire you both from up close and from afar.”
“I’ll always be cheering you on wherever we are in the world. Whether we’re a thousand miles away or randomly on an island in HAWAII. You never cease to amaze me. I love you my sweet girl. Happy Valentine's Day. 😻❤️,” he promised.
Maymay and Joaquin went public with their relationship in October after Joaquin shared a reel on Instagram showing them embracing on a beach as he kissed her forehead.
In a previous interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Maymay admitted that being in a new relationship initially felt unfamiliar after being single for two years. Despite the adjustment, she said she feels happy and grateful, even describing Joaquin as the “male version” of herself.
Last January, the couple marked their sixth month together.
