Just like her other batchmates in Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11, former housemate Jas Dudley-Scales is now also busy focusing on her showbiz career as an actress and TV host. The Fil-British beauty tells host Gary Ann Lastrilla in an episode of PUSH BETS how she is open to try out acting in any genre this year.
“Hindi naman ako pumipili ng role. With drama, romance can be in it, action. Now, because I’m doing a gag show, hindi ko in-expect na puwede pala akong pang-comedy. Never! As in sabi ko nung tinanggap ko, ‘Totoo ba ‘to?’ Hindi ko siya inimagine in like a lifetime na I would do. And that’s the beautiful thing eh sa showbiz. Sometimes you don’t know what you need until it actually comes and then I’m enjoying it and unti-unti, my goal is to really find my space, to create my own space inside showbiz. To have a name na ganito ako,” she shared in an exclusive interview on PUSH BETS.
The 26-year-old artist also talked about being grateful for her experience to be able to be working closely with Vhong Navarro as his co-host in Super FUNalo Max this year.
“In life, ang dami. I have so many dreams kasi and goals. I want to live my life to the fullest. But siguro in terms of the dreams sa showbiz na lang muna, because now I’m already training, nag-co-co-host ako with kuya Vhong (Navarro). I’m really blessed to be training under kuya Vhong’s wings. Kasi Showtime siya eh. And then pag pumunta siya, he also makes an effort to teach me, to actually build a rapport or a relationship na, with a relationship where he’s confident enough to correct me, to really train, and everyday yan. Kasi four to five times a week kami nagsasama eh. Now, nasasabi ko talaga na my goal is to be a great host someday, an established host. And I will always look back on the first training that I got, which is kuya Vhong. And I’m really excited for that,” she said.
During her PUSH BETS interview, Jas also looked back on what she considered the unhealthiest time in her life prior to entering showbiz.
“I think during the pandemic was one and before entering Kuya’s house. I was very busy with work so dire-diretso ako. Wala din ako rest. And I didn’t really have a healthy relationship with my lifestyle. The fitness journey, wala yun sa vocabulary ko. So now na medyo nasa artistic side na ako in front of the camera, so aside from looking good and staying fit, I had to prioritize na my health because I’m not getting any younger. I’m blessed to be with people who take their health very seriously,” she admitted.
As she immerses herself fully in the industry, Jas shared how she hopes to make a mark as an artist.
“Siguro ang gusto ko lang is they will remember me as someone who stood up to find her space and who became an example, na we’re also a human being as artists. We’re a human being, we make mistakes. We do humanly things. Kasi tao din naman kami. Pero at the same time, I remain strong and continue to fight for things that I’m passionate about,” she expressed.
“So sana they would remember me also as a great host, an established host. Pero siyempre, depende na yun sa mga tao kasi you can’t please everyone. I’m just excited for what’s in store for me,” she added.
