Sofia Trazona, the firstborn child of former SexBomb member Izzy Trazona, revealed on social media that they no longer see each other.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on February 9, Sofia responded to messages from supporters and addressed questions about her relationship with her mother, admitting that distance has remained between them as she continues her journey as a trans woman.
“No. di na po kami nagkikita ni mama,” she revealed.
Sofia explained that her decision is rooted in fear and self-preservation, as she does not want to relive the emotional pain she experienced in the past, particularly when she first came out and faced conflict with her mother.
“i also am scared na pagnakita niya na ako ngayon as a transwoman, iba yung reaction na mareceive ko and ayoko na bumalik sa dark place nung lumabas yung issue.”
“I just want validation and acceptance. wala ng iba,” she maintained.
In the replies to her post, Sofia also shared the sadness she feels over being unable to attend family gatherings on her mother’s side, describing how these moments have become emotionally difficult for her.
“It’s honestly so sad na di na ko nakakapunta sa mga reunion sa mom’s side, even birthdays kase whenever pumupunta ako lagi lang akong pinag-uusapan and pinagkakaisahan,” she added.
Sofia was once known as Andrei. In September 2023, she became more visible in the drag community after introducing herself under the name “Sofia.” Around that time, Izzy took to Facebook to share her thoughts and emotions regarding her child’s identity.
In her post, Izzy expressed how much she missed her child and shared that her child remained in her prayers.
"When you told me, 'you'll never know what I feel kasi you [were] never in my shoes,' yes, I agree, same with me. Hindi mo pa rin naman nararanasan maging magulang," Izzy wrote.
"All I want is for your best. I'm holding on with the TRUTH that is written in the bible, the word of God. The One who created us," she continued.
Izzy explained that her stance was rooted in her faith, saying she wanted to protect Sofia and her three other children from what she described as going against her beliefs.
“Sino ba naman magulang ang gustong mapahamak ang anak?” she said.
“When all your motive is to save them sa mas masakit na pwede nilang maranasan: Ang buhay na wala si Kristo,” she added.
She ended her post by affirming her love while stating her refusal to support what she believed could cause harm.
"Andrei anak, I love you so much to not support you on things that will harm you," Izzy concluded.
Sofia later addressed her mother’s statements, admitting that she had previously lied about her support about being a drag queen, saying she did so to shield her from criticism.
“I LIED IN AN INTERVIEW that she supports for what I am and for what I do just to protect her from any backlash but there's no point in protecting her because the truth came out straight from her,” Sofia wrote.
She emphasized that while she loves her mother, she no longer wants to deny her own truth and shared that she has been supporting herself for years.
“I'm tired of this conversation about me being gay and doing drag. I wanna end this argument by saying that,” she continued.
“I love you so much mom but this isn't healthy for me anymore. I hope someday you will understand how it feels to be in my shoes. I miss you but you're not bringing me any comfort and compassion I deserve.”
Amid the public discussion, Sofia’s father Michael Navarro expressed support for her in a Facebook post at the time.
“Dalaga na ang anak ko pwede ng ilaban sa Miss Gay International hahahahaha.. sinung pupusta?” he wrote.
In January 2025, Sofia publicly identified herself as a trans woman through a TikTok video.
On February 9, she shared on Instagram that she is preparing for a major medical procedure this month, though she did not disclose specific details.
“Will go through a big operation in a month… the girls will be girling and I can’t wait to fulfill my promises to myself as a woman 🤍,” Sofia wrote.
