In the January 22 episode of It’s Showtime, the hosts appeared to have dropped hints that reignited questions about whether Ryan Bang is now single, months after rumors surfaced about a possible split with his fiancée, Paola Huyong.
The moment happened during the Laro Laro Pick segment, where hosts Jhong Hilario, Vice Ganda, and Vhong Navarro interviewed contestants. One of them was from Antipolo, who shared that she works as a caddie at a golf club where Ryan plays.

The hosts immediately called Ryan to meet the contestant; however, the exchange quickly took an unexpected turn when she described Ryan.
“Galante po siya. Galante po,” she said, referring to Ryan’s kindness, particularly toward caddies.
She then added, “Mahilig po sa magandang caddie,” a remark that sent Jhong and Vhong into laughter, while Vice Ganda was momentarily left speechless.
“’Di ako ‘yun. Ako?” Ryan responded, seemingly surprised by the comment.
Vice Ganda then stepped in to defend Ryan, a move that drew even more attention given the ongoing rumors surrounding his relationship status.
“Eh binata naman ‘yung anak ko. Ano namang masama doon? ‘Di ba?” Vice Ganda said.
“Oo,” Vhong answered.
“Binata. Eligible,” Vice Ganda emphasized.
The remarks quickly fueled speculation online, with netizens asking whether the comments were a subtle confirmation of Ryan’s rumored breakup with Paola.
Ryan first introduced Paola to the public in February 2024 during the opening night of his restaurant, Paldo. He previously shared that they met in April 2023 during a casual football game, where they ended up exchanging contact details and later bonding over business ideas, eventually growing close.
By June 2024, Paola announced their engagement on Instagram. Following the announcement, the couple openly shared their wedding plans, even revealing that their parents had already met and were supportive of their relationship.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News after their engagement, Ryan spoke about how he knew Paola was “the one,” highlighting the acceptance he felt from both their families.
“Ang buhay natin up and down. Narealize ko mga pinagdadaanan namin. May masayang moments, yung travels. Grabe din paano ako tinangap ng pamilya ko. Grabe yung walang judgement. Paano inaccept ako, family ko, culture ko, pagkatao ko. Alam mo na eh. Ramdam mo siya na pang habang buhay mo kasama,” he previously shared.
By May 2025, Ryan shared that they were targeting June 2026 for their wedding.
However, in September 2025, rumors about a possible split began circulating after Paola announced the closure of her café, Siesta Horchata, which was located in the same building as Ryan’s restaurant. Around the same time, netizens noticed that Paola had taken down her engagement announcement on Instagram.
Neither Ryan nor Paola addressed the speculation, and both remained silent even after fans noticed that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram by late October.

In late November, however, Ryan was spotted helping out at Paola’s Siesta Horchata stall during the Hey, Escolta! Fair in Manila, as seen in a photo he shared on his Instagram Story. The image showed the It’s Showtime host wearing a shirt with the café’s logo while assisting the staff in distributing drinks, adding another layer of intrigue to their status.
Since then, the pair has continued to be surrounded by breakup rumors following the removal of their photos from each other’s social media accounts.
After the recent It’s Showtime episode and Vice Ganda’s “binata” and “eligible” remarks, questions have once again surfaced about Ryan’s relationship status. As of this writing, Ryan has yet to confirm whether he and Paola have indeed ended their engagement or if he is now single.
