The growing closeness between Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 Kapuso housemates Heath Jornales and Caprice Cayetano has not gone unnoticed, as their kilig-filled moments inside Pinoy Big Brother house continue to trend online. With fans eagerly sailing their ’ship, fondly called “CapEath,” support has also been pouring in from those closest to Heath – his parents.
Amid the buzz surrounding the tandem, Heath’s father, actor and stunt director Michael Roy Jornales, shared how their family feels about their son’s pairing inside the Bahay Ni Kuya.
In an interview on GMA’s morning program Unang Hirit on January 15, Michael candidly answered questions from the hosts, who asked if he approves his son’s pairing with Caprice.
Michael responded with warmth and pride, saying, “Actually, CapEath fan din kami ng wife ko kasi ang cute nila together. Ang cute nila. Masayang-masaya si Moi-moi (Heath’s nickname). So kung saan siya masaya, masaya din kami.”
Beyond the kilig moments, Michael expressed how proud he is of his son, especially seeing how much Heath is enjoying his time inside the house.
“Sobrang proud po ako kasi nakikita ko siya sa TV tapos masaya siya sa ginagawa niya. ‘Yun ang pinakaimportante: na happy siya sa ginagawa niya,” he shared.
Michael’s support for Heath has been evident even before CapEath moments captured viewers’ hearts. Last December 25, he made a surprise visit to the PBB house as a Christmas gift for his son. Heath, already emotional while waiting, broke down in tears when his father emerged from behind the curtain and embraced him. To keep the moment light, Michael even playfully sparred with Heath, easing the atmosphere during their heartfelt reunion.
Recalling that touching moment, Michael shared what was going through his mind.
“Yung una kong na-feel, parang gusto ko makipaglaro. Kasi, ganoon kami lagi, para kaming magtropa ’yan e,” he recalled.
“Nagsaya kami. Pero nakalimutan ko kasi—kami nakikita namin siya sa TV, so parang nandoon pa rin. Ang nakalimutan ko is siya hindi kami at all nakikita. So kaya nu’ng pagyakap niya, nagulat din ako umiyak na siya. Naiyak na rin ako,” he added.
He also shared a simple but powerful message for his son: “Never back down and never give up.”
Inside the house, the CapEath tandem first caught fans’ attention when Heath’s dance and finger heart for Caprice went viral, which sparked some teasing from their fellow housemates. During one moment, Carmelle asked Heath how he felt dancing with Caprice, to which he answered, “Masaya kasi may ka-partner sa pagsayaw.”
The kilig continued when Heath cooked pancakes for Caprice as part of a “good deed” task. After preparing the pancakes, Heath took a moment to hype himself up before handing the plate to Caprice, who happily appreciated the sweet gesture. Heath then sat beside her, sharing the pancakes and the moment.
In the confession room, Heath explained his intentions, saying, “Hindi lang po dahil sa special task ’yung pagbigay ko po ng pancake o ’yung good deed, it was actually a genuine thing na gusto ko pong gawin. Ngayon po, sana mas nawala ’yung wall, na minsan hindi po kami nag-uusap [ni Caprice].”
The two were later crowned King and Queen of the Ball on January 3 after winning the housemates’ vote, a moment made even more memorable as they shared a slow dance, much to the delight of viewers.
More recently, the CapEath tandem once again showcased their undeniable chemistry during their “Sayaw sa Bangko” task performance, where they were chosen to perform at the highest level of stacked benches, further fueling excitement among fans.
