Kris Aquino got a new haircut following her recent medical procedure.
Hair and makeup artist Jonathan Velasco shared a clip of a haircut session with the television host on Instagram on Friday, January 16.
"New hair, same brave spirit. Madam @krisaquino is on the mend! Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she gets stronger every day," he posted.
Kris then commented in the post, saying: "I am literally so grateful to be breathing."
Fans online were also quick to react to the post.
"Keep fighting my QUEEN OF ALL MEDIA," one fan commented.
"Praying for your complete recovery Kris," another fan wrote.
Last Wednesday, January 14, Kris revealed that she underwent what was supposed to be a minor procedure but experienced a life-threatening complication when her lungs temporarily stopped functioning.
"I haven't fully processed what happened, it was supposed to be a minor PICC LINE procedure BUT there was a span of time totaling almost 2 minutes when my lung stopped functioning — I stopped breathing," she disclosed.
Kris thanked her medical team for saving her life. "I credit my anesthesiologist, my 2 surgeons, and as soon as I awakened — the reassuring face of my rheumatologist whose concern & love i felt. In my post-op recovery room, it was future pediatrician/neurologist/or anesthesiologist Bimb’s kiss that made me realize we owe all of you my life — utang namin na buhay pa rin ako, the Holy Spirit guided my doctors and everyone in the OR," she remarked.
The television host also expressed her gratitude to those who continue to pray for her recovery. "THANK YOU for continuing to pray for me to get better, for having FAITH that God will make all things possible," she said.
In an Instagram post on December 31, 2025, Kris reflected on what she was most thankful for in 2025, citing her family, close friends, and medical team. She also looked ahead to 2026 with hope and faith.
"Maraming bago in 2026 sa buhay ni Bimb at buhay ko. Please continue to help us pray for unwavering faith that the new year can only get better. To my followers & all praying with me, I'm alive because of your prayers for someone you don’t personally know but have adopted as one you feel deserving of your time in prayer. Lilipas ito at makakabawi ako sa kabutihang loob ninyo. 💛 my body is at its weakest but my spirit is still #fighting," she wrote at that time.
Kris has been battling multiple autoimmune diseases and continues to receive treatment. She previously stayed in the United States for medical care before returning to the Philippines in 2024.
