GMA Executive Annette Gozon-Valdes expressed her support for one of their Kapuso artists, Shuvee Etrata, who recently became a trending topic on social media. In a Facebook post and an Instagram Story, she shared how people should respect each other’s opinions and unite against the common goal rather than bringing down a person.
An old video of Shuvee resurfaced on social media where she was declaring her support towards a certain controversial politician to the dismay of the netizens. She has since then apologized for her previous posts and clarified that she has already learned from it.

Annette maintained that Shuvee isn’t a die hard of any politician and she is ready to offer her support towards the latter for being “wrongfully and unfairly attacked.”
“Please allow me to clarify an article going around...I am ready to offer my support to Shuvee, any of our artists, or any of my friends when they are wrongfully and unfairly attacked. Shuvee is not 'die hard' for any politician,” she wrote.
The Kapuso executive maintained that while the former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition housemate may have had several political posts in the past, they were all coming from personal observations.
“She has had very very few (and short) posts that have political color in the past. She gave her personal observation and opinions on what she believed to be good acts and bad acts done by the govt,” she shared.
“If she personally observed that the negative effects of drugs was mitigated IN HER NEIGHBORHOOD, then let's respect that... just as we should respect her stand against the shutdown of ABS CBN,” she added.

Annette then asked the netizens to stop spreading hate towards one another and place the energy towards fighting corruption happening in the country.
“Please, let's respect each other's opinions. Rather than spread hate and attack each other, we should unite against our common goals such as searching for the truth and ending corruption. Let's join forces to cancel corruption, not people who work hard for their family,” she ended.
