MANILA -- Superstar comedian Vice Ganda, one of the top taxpayers in Quezon City, didn’t mince words as she blasted the alleged P35 billion in infrastructure “insertions” flagged in Bulacan under the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Taking to X on Tuesday, she questioned how much more taxpayers stand to lose if corruption spans across the entire country and other agencies — before clapping back at critics who faulted him for cursing in outrage.
On Tuesday at the Senate hearing, former Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara accused Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Sen. Joel Villanueva, former Sen. Bong Revilla, Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co, and former Caloocan Rep. Mitch Cajayon-Uy of receiving payoffs from their insertions in the national budget. The lawmakers have denied the accusations.
During the Trillion Peso March program at the People Power Monument along EDSA last Sunday, Vice called for the death penalty for government officials allegedly involved to anomalous flood control projects and urged Filipinos to speak out and make their anger felt.
The "It's Showtime" host also asked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to punish everyone accountable for the corruption.
