It was a special milestone for It’s Showtime host and actor Jhong Hilario, who celebrated his birthday with his family—partner Maia Azores and their daughter Sarina—with a memorable trip to Shanghai, China.
In a recent vlog uploaded on Jhong’s YouTube channel, the family of three shared highlights from their seven-day adventure in Shanghai, which doubled as a birthday celebration and a meaningful family experience.
“This is my birthday treat sa family, Ito ang napili naming destination ang Shanghai kasi para na rin kay Sarina ito kasi ito na lang ang Disneyland na hindi niya pa napupuntahan sa buong mundo and siyempre kami rin. Hindi ko naman naexperience ang Disneyland noong bata ako kaya masaya ako na naexperience ngayon ni Sarina ito,” Jhong shared.
At just four years old, Sarina has already achieved what many Disney fans can only dream of by visiting all 12 Disney Parks across six resorts worldwide.
“Imagine na at 4 years old nabuo mo na yung Disneyland,” Jhong told Sarina.
In their 1-hour long vlog, the family shared their 7 days visit in Shanghai where they went to a wild animal park, theme park and stores as well as the city proper, letting Sarina experience the beauty of the city.
One of the highlights of the vlog is the family ticking off Disneyland Shanghai from their list as they enjoyed roaming in the popular theme park, watching shows and riding rides.
On a social media post shared on Sarina’s page, they said: “Disney World Tour: COMPLETE! 🏰🌎 We did it! 12 parks, 6 resorts. Grateful for all the incredible people, family and friends who were part of the journey. Your love and support made it even more magical. ✨.”
They also explained in another post: “For Daddy’s birthday, my parents decided to visit a city in China we had never been to before, Shanghai. Our main reason was to finally complete all 12 Disney Parks in the world, but little did we know we would also fall in love with the city.”

Apart from Disneyland Shanghai, the family also visited popular attractions including Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Zhujiajiao Ancient Tourist Town, Wukang Mansion (The Flat Iron Building), Anfu Road, Yuyuan Garden and Temple, North Bund Bay with the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the 1000 Trees building.
“Shanghai was so much more than we expected. The people were kind, the food was delicious, the buildings and architecture were beautiful, and the city was very modern,” they wrote in a post. “What makes Shanghai special is how it mixes the old and the new.”
The family expressed how their trip made the city their current favorite among the countries they have been to.
“Shanghai may now be one of our most favorite cities in Asia. We hope you enjoy our vlog as much as we enjoyed making it. We tried our best to experience everything and share it all with you,” they wrote.

In previous vlogs, Jhong and Maia documented their daughter’s magical experiences in other Disney Parks including Tokyo, Hong Kong, California, and Paris.
Looking back, Jhong shared: “Sobrang nagenjoy siya (Sarina) and ang dami naming rides na nasakyan and ang daming characters and princess na napicturan. Nakakapagod pero worth it naman dahil alam namin na masaya si Sarina. Ang bilis lang ng panahon at ilang taon na lang siya bata.”
