Anne Curtis recently reflected on her journey as a mother, describing herself as someone who treasures every moment.
In an interview with PeopleAsia, the Kapamilya star shared that she is a sentimental mom who cherishes the memories she creates with her daughter, Dahlia.
"I would have to say, for me this is such a new beginning and journey, and I'm that kind of mom that cherishes every moment," she relayed.
She went on: "Like I dig it straight into my heart all of the memories. And you know, I remember seeing this one quote where it said like, 'You don't get to keep the different versions of your little child because they keep on growing up.' So I'm that kind of mom who cherishes every moment."
Dahlia turned five years old last March. When asked what Dahlia is like these days, Anne shared: "She's a sassy girl at the moment... She's such a bubbly, energetic, kind little girl."
Anne added that one of her favorite parts of this stage is watching Dahlia's personality bloom. "And you know, she's at a point wherein she can really express how she feels, and I love that because I get to discover who she really is and how her mind is working," she relayed.
The actress was also asked if Dahlia is now aware that she has famous parents. Anne replied, "I think in the beginning no, but recently, yes. She found it funny like why does everyone say hello? And then finally I brought her to Showtime for the first time. I think it was early this year, so that gave her an inkling of what I'm doing."
Dahlia is the daughter of Anne with her husband, content creator and entrepreneur Erwan Heussaff.
In a previous interview in the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, Anne shared how becoming a mother changed her life's perspective.
"Becoming a wife and a mother [has] really taught me to slow down. Even more so noong naging mother ako,” she shared.
The actress shared that she has been savoring the motherhood experience. "Sobra ko siyang ine-enjoy and chine-cherish," she highlighted.
Anne also remarked in the interview that each mother's journey is unique.
"You learn on your own, and I also believe that each mother has their own unique and personal journey of motherhood. So dapat ‘di rin tayo nag co-compare and ine-enjoy natin 'yung sarili nating version of motherhood," she stated.
