True to her nickname in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition as the “Sassy Unica Hija ng Taguig," Bianca de Vera said she has remained nonchalant when she hears people saying not-so-nice things about her online. In her recent interview with PUSH Bets, the talented actress shared her thoughts about being misunderstood and how thankful she is to PBB for giving her that added confidence in her career.
When asked if she knew if people have misconceptions about her, the 23-year-old artist admitted she was aware of what people say about her and why she doesn’t feel the need to correct any of them.
“Oo, madami. Hindi ko na siguro sasabihin word by word pero marami akong nakikita. Pero for me, hindi talaga ako naaapektuhan. Feeling ko kilala ko talaga yung sarili ko. Kilala ko kung sino yung nakikita ko sa salamin. So hindi talaga ako naapektuhan! (laughs)” she told PUSH Bets an exclusive interview.

Bianca admitted that a big part of her mature understanding comes from her parents, who have always been there for her before and after she started showbiz. She also credited her experience inside the PBB house for giving her the added confidence to face the outside world after their season ended.
“They’ve always guided me ever since. Ngayon naman, parang feeling ko they trust me enough. And parang feeling ko malaki na ako to handle those types of situations. I mean, pinili ko itong career ko na ito and like I said in my past interviews, PBB and Kuya has taught me to be strong enough to handle those kinds of things like bashing or words from other people that are hurtful words,” she explained.

Barely four years since she first signed with Rise Artists Studio, Bianca admitted that her biggest challenge in being in this industry is the double-edge sword that comes with fame.
“I wouldn’t say it’s super challenging, pero siguro kailangan lang namin tanggapin na as public figures, bawat galaw namin, bawat salita namin, ay pinapanuod. It’s truly being watched. And because of that, you’re truly up for criticism and so, parang lagi ka talagang hubad sa public. What I wish they knew about me? Is that mahal na mahal ko ang mga fans ko. Yung mga loyal fans namin, Im also very grateful that they understand me, no matter what,” she said.
Despite the constantly different demands that come with being in showbiz, Bianca shared how she has managed to stay authentic to her true self despite everything.
“Siyempre galing ako PBB so siyempre kung ano yung napanuod nila sa PBB yun na rin talaga ako. Ako and also for the other housemates, hindi talaga kami sanay na mam-plastic. I don’t think I have the time to not be authentic. So kung ano nakikita niyo, yun na yun. Hindi ko alam anong advice mabibigay ko but I guess just stay true to yourself. But staying true to yourself and staying authentic doesn’t give you a free pass to be rude to other people. Feeling ko kasi, ang daming tao at artista na ginagamit yun as a way of stepping on other people,” she added.
