A shared creative vision was the key reason behind James Reid's decision to sign with a Korean management company, marking a new chapter as he ventures into cross-cultural collaborations.

Over the weekend, Reid's local music label, Careless Music Manila, announced that the "Randomantic" singer had signed with the South Korea-based Spring Company, home to K-drama heartthrob Ji Chang-wook.

"Spring Company felt like the right next step because they believe in bridging cultures, and that’s what I want to do too," Reid said in a press release.

"Working with Ji Chang-wook is inspiring. I'm looking forward to learning and showing the world what Filipino talent can do," the 32-year-old artist added.

Apart from Chang-wook, Spring Company's roster of talents include actor Kim Min-seok, who starred in "Lovestruck in the City" and "Shark: The Storm," and Lee Sung-woo, who featured in the second and third seasons of "Squid Game" as a contestant of the deadly games.

Reid first gained attention after winning "Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010" and eventually rose in popularity through lead roles in several TV dramas and films. He also has a music career and established his own music label, Careless.

In a recent interview with news personality Karen Davila, Reid revealed that he will be starring in a new teleserye set to begin filming this 2025.
