Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez reflected on the challenges and lessons she continues to encounter as a host of various television programs.

During the media conference for the fourth season of BRGY, Bianca, who has been in the industry for two decades through shows like Pinoy Big Brother and The Voice, shared that transitioning into shows pushed her to rethink and refine her hosting style.

“The challenge for me is not from hosting PBB or The Voice to BRGY,” she said. “The challenge is paano ko iibahin. Like, kung titingnan mo, hindi ba mauumay yung manonood?” Bianca admitted to PUSH ABS-CBN.

She credited her team for helping her adjust and for motivating her to continually improve.

“Being guided by the DNA of each show has helped a lot. I try to differentiate my style. Pati ako, very critical sa sarili ko—when I watch an episode, I reflect on how it could be better,” she added.

While pressure comes with the job, Bianca shared that she has learned to manage it over the years.

“Pressure, yes, definitely,” she expressed. “The kaba—I would say mas namamanage ko na siya with every episode. But the pressure is more of a responsibility: to do justice to the work of the entire team. And especially when it comes to celebrity guests, I want to give justice to their fans, so it won’t feel like a repetitive interview they’ve already seen before.”

Having worked across reality shows, talent searches, and talk show formats, Bianca has cemented her place as one of the country’s most respected hosts. With her journey, she has also become a role model for younger hosts and personalities, which she deeply treasures.

“Salamat. Feeling ko since I turned 40, so, maybe like two years ko na naiisip ito na yung thought na whenever I do something like this or tape a show or interview a guest, parang after it happens na nagmamaneho ako pag-uwi, iniisip ko how do i get to be this person. Sobra kong swerte to last this long in the industry and to do what I got to do,” Bianca shared.

She went on: “Now may younger generation, who say all this great things about me and my generation, sobra akong kilig kasi when I was younger I would never have thought where I am now at this age so I consider myself na super lucky talaga pero alam ko rin na pinaghirapan ko talaga lahat."

“Every step of the way I really worked for. So, parang pwede pala mag co-exist na alam mo na pinaghirapan mo as well as you are lucky.”

Bianca is gearing up for the fourth season of BRGY that premieres this September and will be available on TFC’s cable, satellite, IPTV, and YouTube channels.
