Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 housemates JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith recalled the moment they learned they would be starring in their first lead project, Ghosting.
"Sobrang unexplainable po nung happiness kasi pangarap po namin ito ni Fyang. Agaran naman pong natupad so binibihay po namin lahat. Di ko mapaliwanag pero sobrang saya," JM said in an interview with MJ Felipe on Are You G? of TFC.
Meanwhile, Fyang admitted that she experienced jitters considering it was her first acting role. "Kinabahan ako kasi siya, before pa naman ng Ghosting, may ginawa na siya [na project] so alam na niya 'yung gagawin niya talaga 'pag harap ng camera. Ako tanong pa ako ng tanong, ganito ba, ano ba ang gagawin... so kinakabahan po talaga ako," she stated.
Fyang also reflected on her love team with JM, highlighting how he has been a positive influence both professionally and personally.
"Malaki po 'yung tulong sa akin ni JM sa akin, especially sa pag-acting. Kaya maraming pumupuri sa akin sa Ghosting — bakit ang natural ng pagkaka-deliver nung acting — kasi dahil sa kanya 'yun. Grabe 'yung help niya sa akin, hindi lang sa acting, sa growth ko rin as a person din of course. And especially siguro ang pinaka na-help niya sa akin is kung paano ko ma-maintain 'yung pagiging mabuting tao," she said.
JM emphasized that he is committed to guiding Fyang.
"'Yung sinabi niya kanina na maraming parte na gina-guide ko siya, kahit wala kami dito sa industriya na 'to, kahit hindi man ako tumuloy magtrabaho dito, nasabi ko na sa kanya noon pa man na hindi ako mawawala sa tabi niya, iga-guide at iga-guide ko pa rin siya," JM said.
Ghosting tells the story of a student who moves to her grandmother's province after being ghosted. There she unexpectedly falls for a mysterious probinsyano, who turns out to be a restless soul. What starts as a tale of moving on becomes a romance that transcends life and death.
The series began streaming exclusively on iWant last July, coinciding with the launch of the platform's rebranded version. With a sleeker design and more personalized features, the new platform highlights Ghosting as one of its flagship titles.
