Athlete-turned-news anchor Gretchen Ho took to social media to share clips of her farmhouse blessing.
On her Instagram account, Gretchen revealed that it had been her dream since childhood to own a farmhouse.
“I’ve dreamed of having a farm since I was a kid, but I never thought the Lord would grant this dream so early 🙏🏻 We found the perfect place about 2 years ago, and ever since, it’s been a sanctuary for our family,” she said.
Hands-on in preparing and overseeing the construction of her farmhouse, Gretchen expressed her excitement about the many things she plans to do on the property and her hope of sharing its spiritual atmosphere with those who visit.
“We have many visions, hopes and dreams for this farm and the community, but will let Him lead me on this, as it unfolds, day by day 🙏🏻,” she added.
She also prayed that the space would serve as a place of reflection: “Praying that through this place, more people will have 'encounters with God', as we always do. Thank you Father @itsearltan for the meaningful masses, a holy weekend, and for blessing our new home 🙏🏻.”
Although Gretchen has not confirmed whether the farm will be open to the public, she used the hashtag “Annie’s Farm Retreat” to reveal its name.
Gretchen has been consistently updating her followers about the farm’s progress. Last June, she shared how she personally worked on the landscape—something she now considers her unique way of exercising.
“As a former professional volleyball player, I’ve worked out most of my life. It’s just in the past 2 years that I’ve found myself in quite a rut, finding difficulty to get back inside a gym. Maybe I’ve enjoyed taking it easy and giving myself some sort of a break,” she admitted.
“Nowadays, people ask me, “where do you work out?”… And I answer… “my farm” 😂 I know most people won’t understand it.. In fact I see young girls outside our farm just staring and laughing 😂 But this is the kind of working out that doesn’t make me feel like I have to drag myself towards something,” she added.

For Gretchen, improving her farmhouse not only makes her more productive but also gives her a deeper sense of fulfillment.
“My mind gets so absorbed in the building work. And most of all, there are immediate, tangible, visible results,” she continued. “Going to this place has made a healthier & happier person. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. It’s an efficient use of time, I could say 🥰 Dagdag mo pa yung mga sariwang gulay na kinakain namin pagkatapos!!!”
She also expressed her appreciation for the serene atmosphere of her farm, writing: “6:32am. Breathing in this view. Taking in this moment. Good to know our place faces the East. It’s always more wonderful after the rains :) #grateful #Sundaymorning.”
Welcoming friends to her sanctuary, Gretchen shared: “Happy to welcome some journo friends to my piece of paradise! 🙂 Out of all my visitors, they were the only ones who stayed outdoors, ALL DAY. Hindi kami naubusan ng solar 😂 Always great being with troopers 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻.”
