King of Talk Boy Abunda just dropped an unreleased footage of his interview with Liza Soberano dating back to March 7, 2023. In the interview, the actress already shared that she parted ways with her ex-boyfriend, Enrique Gil.
Liza previously asked the veteran host to not air the part back in 2023 and the unreleased video was only aired earlier this week after Boy had consulted with his lawyers and after Liza shared her relationship status in a previous video.
“After that [interview], nag request si Liza na wag namin ipalabas ang bahagi na yun ng interview dahil hindi pa ready si Quen na malaman ng publiko na hiwalay na sila. Liza and I were in touch a few times and also with Quen’s representation. Iginalang namin ang request nila na hindi ipalabas ang interview kahit umiikot na noon ang mga speculations na hiwalay na sila,” Boy explained.
“Napapanahon na para mapanood ninyo ang 12-minute portion ng akin interview with Liza tungkol sa breakup nila ni Quen,” he added.
In the unreleased tape, Boy asked the status of their relationship to which the actress answered as candidly as possible.
“Quen and I have decided to separate ways… That is because our values and the way we see life just doesn’t align anymore because of the whole change that I went through last year. It was kind of hard for us to be there and support each other the same way that we used to be. So, we decided that it was just easier to separate ways and kind of find ourselves first–– kind of explore before we take to the next level,” Liza expressed.

Being together for eight years, Liza shared that she wanted to achieve more outside of their relationship in terms of her career.
“There’s so much more that I still want to achieve and he’s older than me–– he’s in his 30s. Of course, he’s thinking about settling down, starting a family. So, it just doesn’t line up anymore,” she added.
Despite the breakup, the actress maintained in the unreleased video that she and Enrique ended on good terms but the latter has been allegedly consistently courting her back at the time the interview was conducted.
“In fact, he still messages me from time to time, he still tries to show support for everything that I’m doing. It’s hard because we don’t have any ill feelings towards each other–– there’s still a lot of love and care for each other,” she said.
Liza then shared in the same interview that there wasn’t any third party involved and they just grew apart.
Though the interview happened in 2023, it was in 2022 when rumors of their breakup circulated on social media as fans noticed that they weren’t posting about each other as much anymore. They remained silent about the status of their relationship until this month when Liza dropped the news through a video.
Meanwhile, Enrique has yet to make a statement as of this writing.
