Kapamilya actress Belle Mariano admitted that she was scared at first working without her onscreen partner, Donny Pangilinan, on her latest project. She will be starring in the latest Star Cinema offering, Meet, Greet, & Bye and this will mark the first time where she won’t be working alongside the Kapamilya actor ever since their love team was formed.
Meet, Greet & Bye stars Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Juan Karlos, and Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. The film is already in the works as of this writing and will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana.
During the media conference for her first-ever network contract signing, Belle shared that she feels like her role in the upcoming film is unlike any of the roles she portrayed in the past. Apart from not having her onscreen partner with her, she’ll be playing the role of the youngest child–– far from her real life where she’s the eldest amongst her siblings.
“I feel like this one since it’s far different from the previous ones I’ve done. Yun nga, it’s my first project outside of a love team, siyempre may takot at first kasi nga I’m so used to working with Donny,” she shared.
The Kapamilya actress admitted that she loves working with Donny but this opportunity given to her will give her the chance to grow as an actress outside of a love team, something that she has always been open to trying.

“I love working with Donny so parang may kaba pero at the same time, sabi ko this is something new. I want to grow, I’m always open to growth, and I’m always open to learning more,” she added.
Belle assured their fans that they have each other’s support even if they have their individual projects at the moment. Apart from the Kapamilya actress’s movie, Donny is set to star in the upcoming ABS-CBN series, Roja, alongside Kyle Echarri, Maymay Entrata, Raymond Bagatsing, Joel Torre, Janice De Belen, and Lorna Tolentino.
“Both of us have been vocal about it na we’re always there to just support each other and champion each other in terms of our career growth–– whether that’s with each other or apart from each other,” she maintained.
Meanwhile, Belle expressed her gratitude towards ABS-CBN for the experiences she’s gained throughout the years of her stay with the Kapamilya network.
“It makes you a stronger person, and I think those experiences molded me into who I am today. Being a Kapamilya for me is growth, and I’m so grateful to be in this family,” she shared.
