Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata admitted that she had always wanted to join Pinoy Big Brother when she was growing up. In an episode of Kuan on One earlier this week, the former PBB Celebrity Collab Edition housemate shared how she once thought she couldn’t join the hit reality program as she was from GMA.
Shuvee was one of the last housemates to enter the PBB house alongside Kapamilya actress Xryiel Manabat. She was unable to make it to the Big Night after being eliminated just weeks before the Big 4 duos were formed.

Growing up, she recalled how she had her photos taken in front of the iconic house of PBB and always wondered what it was like to become a housemate in the future.
It was a dream of mine parang childhood dream.
Not once in her wildest dreams would she have thought to be part of the hit reality program as she remained loyal to her Kapuso network where she is signed as one of their artists.
Shuvee added how overjoyed she was when Annette Gozon-Valdes, the Senior Vice President of GMA, and Joy Marcelo, Sparkle GMA’s First Vice President, offered her a chance to audition for the then-upcoming collab edition.

“Mag audition ako, Ms. Annette. Gustong-gusto ko. Maawa kayo sa akin. Pinush ko yung sarili ko… Sobrang dami palang audition–– 12 or 13. 100 daw kaming artista noon.
She then expressed how she would’ve gone back to her studies if she wasn’t able to make the final cut–– which fortunately didn’t happen for her.
For Shuvee, this was “God’s grace” as everything fell into its place. Despite not winning the season, the Kapuso actress remained grateful for all the opportunities that she has received after her PBB stint.
