“May nag text!”
What started as quick comedic relief to ease the tension in knowing the Magpasikat scores back then turned out to be one of the most iconic lines that Vice Ganda has ever said on national television. Three words captured the hearts of the Madlang People and spurred anticipated for the witty comments Vice would give not only to the contestants but to the hosts and fellow judges as well.
Vice, who wasn’t originally part of the hosting lineup for It’s Showtime, was the “unevictable” hurado on the panel of judges. Fate must have been on his side as it was previously revealed by the show’s producer, Trina Bitara, that he wasn’t even supposed to be the unevictable hurado but rather comedian Long Mejia.
This move by the management would prove to be successful as it not only launched Vice as the Unkabogable Star that he is today but also made the noontime variety program a staple in everybody’s homes.

He would soon star in his own films and have his own late-night show, Gandang Gabi Vice, which catapulted him into the stardom that he enjoys today. Apart from having box office hits and successful shows and concerts here and there, Vice continued to work hard for his dreams behind the cameras–– owning a comedy club and a makeup line.
Even after 16 years on the noontime variety show, Vice remains to be one of the steady forces of It’s Showtime. He has been with the show at its highest and even in its lowest–– treating the show like his second home and family.
He previously expressed his gratitude towards It’s Showtime as he admitted that he found his calling in it.

“Ngayon talaga, nasa punto ako ng buhay ko na hindi ko kayang mawala sa Showtime at hindi ko kayang mawala ang Showtime sa buhay ko. Nakuha ko na yung halaga niya sa buhay ko,” he previously shared.
With just three words, Vice has defined what it truly meant to become the Unkabogable Star that everybody loves.
